So your starting your own promotion, what do you do?

As the title says your starting your own MMA promotion to try to compete with the big dogs, what do you do to set yourself apart,

Please note, You cant change the rules (Unless you want to remove something, ex Elbows) thats the athletic commisions job, this isnt a fantasy roster game either

Me I would stagger my weight classes with a 150 pound, 165, 180, 195, 215 and a 215 - 285, which may screw up my fighters from being ranked but would change the structure of weight classes making fights possible that arent in current promotions while helping some fighters who are near the low end of there weight class come in at the top, guys like Wandy and Rashad for example could easily make 195 and wouldnt have to deal with opponents who are much larger. I'd also keep the cage but with 2 cards a year in a ring that would have no title fights but the main card would be filled with catch weight superfights.

quickneasycat1 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
First thing I would do is make sure my bank was suffiecient enough to sign top notch fighters and get the marketing needed to be an upstart promotion. Possibly attempt to get a tv deal, doesn't matter, HBO, FOX, whatever to show some fights maybe monthly to get the name out there. Charge less then the UFC for the PPV. Bring back the tournament ala Pride's grand prix's.
