If not that WAND will murder his ass... that is if Evans doesn't wrestle himself to a victory before hand.

Not really. He brawled with Rampage too. I think the "Fighter A isn't the fighter he was when he lost to Fighter B" statement is extremely played out.
People get caught and lose, everyone does, why can't people live with that?

Forrest Dominated the later rounds of the fight and wore Page down. He won fair and square.
However I think Rashad is going to beat him. I also think Wanderlei is going to destroy Page... Again and this time it will be even worse than #2

By chance, I do it. According to your definition, that would not be a lucky punch, just... me being on, while chuck is having an off day????
I call a win lucky when the fighter that won is completely outmatched.
Let's put it this way. If Serra and GSP were to fight 10 times, how many do you think Serra would win? For me, it has to be 1 out of 10 (and the only reason I give him 1 is because he friggin did it). The odds aren't with him, therefore he was lucky.
Basically, he didn't beat GSP because he is a superior fighter, he beat him by chance that a hard shot, would land at the right time.
Now, this doesn't apply to guys that are KO artists like Chucky because they train their striking through and through and have shown, through positive outcomes, that them getting a KO is not simply luck or chance. It is likely based upon their skills.
You can define it how you like, but when an inferior fighter beats a superior fighter with KO early on, it is luck in my book. They didn't dominate their opponent, they hit him with a great shot through luck/chance.
|
I wouldn't call it luck per se. GSP was simply ill-prepared for the fight and got TKO'd because of it. He was not mentally there and that's why he lost.
I guess Serra was lucky in the sense that he got the perfect scenario to fight GSP. It was his first title defence, he had a lot of hype surrounding him at the time, he was a huge favorite to win = tremendous pressure.

He did brawl with Rampage, but not for long. He is using his reach and size and not standing and brawling the whole fight. He used to go into a fight not giving a **** about getting ko'd. He would stand and bang until somebody dropped....He doesn't do that anymore. The Jardine fight changed Forrest as a fighter imo.
I'll be chearing Forrest on against Evans. Hopefully we get to see Forrest and Wand fight.

I mean, logic would say, that if the fight was incredibly close, and Forrest did come out with a decision, then there wouldn't be much "murdering" going on.
|
Just wait and see, there is a good chance of a rematch. I'm pretty sure its gunna happen either way. If WAND beats rampage AND forrest then they will probably give rampage forrest for his next fight.

True that, Ive watched every aspect in that fight, STOP PAUSE SLOW ACTION ive watched it through and through and there is NO way Jackson deserved that win Forrest outworked him out punched him put him on his back for a complete round and just basically got the best of Quinton, and this is coming from a huge Jackson fan.
