BJ Penn Light training or outclassed???
I just watched penn v GSP for the third time and I'm not sure ig=f GSP jus outworked him or he was never in the match, but by the start of the second BJ looked vulnerable, the third he had nothing and the fourth GSP was able to set up a takedown 30 seconds in after 3 jabs. What happened to BJ??

........:confused02:
One guy got out worked by another........they both are superstars....only one can win......... |
i don't think it was a question of work so much as overconfidence by BJ a completely diffferent fighter in GSP than the first fight and possibly a gross mistake preparedness = in training regime. I mean George had him out out by end of round 2 didn't he? I love GSP, glad he won but the real BJ didn't show up

GSP won
BJ Penn Lost the end |
BJ said it wasnt about size and strength but about skill, GSP took his skills and MADE IT about size and strength and dominated BJ because of it.

Out classed, out gassed, out cashed, and probably even out assed at the after party.

BJ was already gassed by the end of the 1st round. Now that I think about it Dana was right to tell him to get his ass back to training during the primetime.
I'm a GSP fan and I like BJ as well. I wish he trained more for the fight that he depicted as "the most important fight of my career", "the biggest fight in MMA history", so we got to see a more competitive fight. As A1yola06 implied, BJ got "out-everything'd" and GSP proved that BJ hasn't evolved much as a fighter since their first encounter (due to lack of training obviously). |
