I think the LHW title is his for the taking if he decides he wants it. As for WW, that is just silly. And he'd pummeled at HW.

Hasn't Anderson fought at 175 before? I believe his fight with Okami was at that weight. Not saying the extra 5 pounds won't be an issue, but all I'm saying is that 170 isn't completely stupid.

Yeah you're right he fought Okami at 175 at the Rumble on the Rock tournament. He was also Shooto champion at 167 back in the day.

His body has naturally gotten a lot bigger, and he's put on a lot of lean muscle since then. I don't think he could make that cut anymore, and if he did he would be extremely drained. I think he's said he walks around between 212-220 now.

as awesome as anderson silva is, i don't see him winning titles in 3 weight classes. he's stated that he wants to retire soon, and it'd take years of dedication to accomplish that. in fact, i'm not sure anyone right now is capable of doing that(in the ufc at least). you can't just win a title, move up and win the next, bj penn is proof. in order to be a multiple weight champion, you have to focus on one division at a time.

<--- the punch that started it all!

My current favirote fighters
Anderson Silva
Junior Dos Santos
Mauricio Rua
Alistair Overeem
Jon Jones

WAR dan hardy, paul daley, ross pearson and terry etim doing it for the britz!

He's way bigger than he used to be, even without a goatee.

I don't think he wants to go for the LHW belt cos he's good mates with Machida.

Whether he is even capable of cutting to 170 at this point in his career is debatable. I can't see it happening myself, as he reportedly walks around at 210-220 lbs. Even if he were able to make the cut I think it would take a great toll on his body and his performance. In other words, I don't think he could beat a GSP at 170.

His chances might almost be better at heavyweight. Mind you, he'd have to put on a little weight. But again, I don't like his chances against a Brock Lesnar that outweighs him by at least 50 lbs.

The only other weight I can ever see him winning at title at would be LHW. Holding three belts is just too much of a stretch.

It would take too long to reshape his body if he wanted to get back down to 170. He could almost definitely win the 205 belt, but has stated that that's for Machida. And depending on who was champion at the time he could have a decent shot at stealing the HW crown.

i cant see him losing that much weight to go down to ww, and still be competitive and a threat to gsp

You people need to get realistic Silvia is good but hes not that good Mir, Lesnar and Coture would kill Silva at HW. He couldnt make WW ethier and if he did GSP would dominate.

I think LHW is possible though he could hold 2 belts.
