Marcus111 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Machida seems to be reeeeally hard for his opponents to figure out. Rashad is damn fast, and has improved a lot over the years, but Machida just . . . hasn't really taken any damage from anyone yet. This is no slight to Rashad, but it's tough to bet against Machida right now.

I'm really curious to see him match up against all the big names in the LHW division (Rampage, Rashad, Chuck, Wanderlei, etc.). Would be really interesting to see.

I wouldn't be shocked if Machida worked his way through all of them. Then again, it's MMA -- anything can happen.

I don't mean "beat" as in "won the fight," because the point deduction was legit and so the judges scoring was fine. I mean Tito made Rashad look bad. He made Rashad look like the one with the junior college wrestling background.

Anyway, that's beside the point.

Thiago Silva was a tough fight for anybody, and Machida left him wondering where all the pretty birdies came from. I don't think Machida will knock Rashad out quite that impressively, but I do think he'll take home the W, and my reasoning is simple.

What does Rashad Evans try to do when he steps in the cage?

He tries to strike and, if that fails, he tries to wrestle. We've seen Rashad do it.

That's the gameplan that Machida loves. That's the gameplan his wet dreams are made of.

Machida wants a guy who's going to chase him around the cage and eat karate kicks until he gets frustrated and shoots. Machida knows that stopping the takedown kills energy, causes frustration and makes the other guy look incompetent, and that's how Machida has fought the majority of his fights: by making his opponent look incompetent.

Hopefully Rashad will make it a fight. I just don't see him taking this.
yha rashad looked good in the 3ed round but thats about it. machida made tito look like a fool. I like rashad allot as well as machida but if machida is on his game I dont see rashad coming out with the title.

Wow, the stupid-to-word ratio here is off the charts.

Firstly, as a mod, if you keep with the namecalling, I'm going to digitally b*tchslap you. I don't like it, but it's part of my job. Also, the ad hominem stuff just makes you look like a douche and keeps anyone from listening to you.

I don't think anyone was hugging Thiago's nuts after the win over Houston. Those of us who knew who he was figured he'd wreck Alexander, and those who didn't just got a taste of an ability he'd already displayed.

Now, I should make clear that Tito Ortiz is one of my least favorite people in MMA, but show the guy a little respect. As much of a douche as he can act like, the guy has more belts than he knows what to do with, and he's one of the most talked about athletes in the sports, even when he's not competing.

What's really ridiculous here is that you're not talking about his life story. You're not talking about his fight history. You're talking about a delusion you had about Machida's "head sitting out there ready to be taken off" like you wanna go do it yourself.

The guy is incredibly hard to hit, and that's going to produce a lot of problems for everybody he fights.

Oh, and I don't care that you're Australia, Canadian, French, Jamaican or Martian. The reason why you're annoying people is because you're annoying, not because they're having trouble understanding your dialect.

I've never been tempted to neg rep somebody before, so I guess that makes you an innovator in being really, really stupid.

Pretty sure Sokky rocked Machida and he buckled but was back up right away. Sokky hits pretty hard.

I like both fighters. I think Machida will be able to set the pace and out point Rashad. Will it be enough in the judges eyes to hand him the belt? I am not so sure. Either way it's going to be a good one.
