Ummm... Why do I have a feeling that this thread is going to digress quickly....

I know it will be tough fellas, but keep it civil.

No sources...refuses to engage in intelligent debate...obvious troll is obvious.

What's your agenda? Disgruntled BJ fan? Or just looking for attention?

Sources of gsp actin like a prick? Diff. Fighters would have said diff. Things. So since vitor was asked about fighting fedor and he was pysched about it he deserves to get knocked the hell out? Gsp just said hed need to prepare and put on muscle and all that stuff but in the future. Neither of these fighters are in any way disrespecting the others at all for being up to the challenge.

Will do, as usual mod.

As for the interview, it was something I watched on tv and hopefully will find a transcript or YouTube video of it.

He talked about other things as well and this was a tiny fragment of his interview.

I just get annoyed when fighters, especially as prestigious as GSP start sounding like Ortiz and get baited by second string journalists into speculating on fights rather than respectfully not getting reeled in.

GSP sounded too much like an Ortiz more so than his usual Rich Franklin careful persona.

I've never heard/seen/read of GSP acting as you describe and it doesn't sound like anyone else has either besides you Heel.

You really should find that link/transcript to validate your argument.

Grizzly, thanks. I don't dislike GSP and have never had lowly perspective of him despite a buddy of mine (who knows the dude) constantly suggesting that he acts like he's on the tv show "Entourage" when he's not selling his 'umble act.

Man-diva or not, he's a great fighter, perhaps the greatest WW for the next few decades. This thread, though referencing GSP in particular, was not about him as much as it was about certain attitudes that are unbecoming of great champions.

If Anderson calls out GSP and gets tapped out in a minute, what do you think that would do for his legacy? Or if GSP calls out Silva and gets knocked out senseless in the first 20 seconds, won't he have abused his own reputation?

Fighters aren't match makers and when they make matches and lose it looks twice as bad.

... Davisty, I'll do my best to find it.

I love GSP but he's sounding possessed by the ghost of Tito Ortiz of late, he mistakes his WRESTLING bully pulpit for everything MMA.

Sorry GSP folks, GSP is a pretty strong guy that outwrestles WW because of power. His best bet in the fight against Silva, by his own insinuation, is that he'll gain 20 pounds and metal blanket him as he does all his opponents.

I'm no MMA genius but this kid is barking at the wrong tree. Thiago Alves might be Brazillian but that's the only commonality he has with Anderson Silva in terms of dominance.

Just desserts are in order for GSP. Get cocky, get knocked out...plus a flattened nose.

He couldn't even take out Thiago, BJ or Koscheck ... he needs to put fighting in context. A Silva isn't his buddy David Louiseaua...he's not merely show, he murders fools.
There's just too much wrong with this. I don't know where to start. (so i won't)

i think silva would win but not as decisevly as some of you seem to think, GSP is very smart and would come in with a game plan that is very good and i wouldnt wright him off completely, i think he would at least have a chance but alas, anderson is just to good for gsp at 185 imo, i see tko from anderson round 3... if it every happens of course
