i disagree. beating the best then only proves he was the best of the past. to be the best of the present, he needs to beat the best of the present. the best is not a lifelong title, it must be constantly proven.

I agree but his win against Andrei Arlovski should keep him at number one for a bit. I look over his record and wonder why I have him ranked at number 1 because its been a long time since we have seen him fight a real top contender, his last real fight before that was with Filipovic.
