Kos is a better strikernow than he was back then moreso than GSP, GSP is a better wrestler. Kos I think has taken a larger leap in skill-set though since the 2007 fight. It has the potential to be at least a better closer fight than 2007--- GSP still obvious favorite.

I'm pulling for Kos to piss of Dana White for not having the Silva mega-fight that should be happening in August at 170 / or whatever catch-weight GSP can fight at without needing a year of nutrition and training. That would blow up in Dana's face.

I would've like to see a Kos-Alves rematch before this fight, but it's set in stone already -

Instead of GSP-Silva and Kos-Alves, they are both training the next guy who might become a top 10 LW. Whoo.

Likely, I don't rule him out. The 2007 was a wrestling match that Kos wasn't ready for. GSP made it a wrestling match and won as a wrestler. But Kos did a better job in 3 rounds than anyone since the Sera KO, off his back, at least containing GSP couldn't pass or get a good mount. The 2 turnarounds by Kos on GSP off his back.

GSP was missing on most of his strikes, never really mounted to throw pillows, Kos was expending all his energy throwing haymaker overhand rights over and over, he's a different well-rounded striker now.

GSP still better wrestler and athlete - especially for a 5 round war. I think since 2007, Kos has better fists though and MMA discipline and game planning. I don't think he's going to be throwing easily predictable desperation over hand rights in the first round like his did. So I think that stamina he had in the first round of that first right won't drop off like it did in 2007. GSP isn't going to kick a lot as Kos TDs are pretty solid especially one leg, as opposed to GSP's superior raw power/athletic TDs.

If odds go to ridiculous, i'll lay some down on Kos.

I would be surprised if he wins, shocked even, but I would not be happy about it, firstly he is not a Champion, he is a dick and there are many WW's out there who out class him in every way.

Secondly he wont win anyway, if he wants to rely now on his wrestling to LnP wins like he did against Daley then he stands no chance against GSP because GSP is the undisputed, unrivalled daddy of wrestling LnP and Kos will get skull fcuked if thats how this fight goes down, and finally thats exactly how this fight will go down because GSP will make it happen that way no matter what Kos wants to do, only one person will dictate where this fight takes place and it wont be Kos.

I like Kos, I guess I am in the minority here, but he isn't going to beat GSP. The title is GSP's until he moves up or retires.

Personally, I see Kos stuffing GSP's early takedown attempts, throwing a few wild bombs, getting taken down and controlled. That'll probably happen for the first 2 rounds, until he gets TKO'd in the 3rd.

Trust me, I'm shocked I'm saying this - but I can just see GSP being hungrier than ever to finish someone, and unfortunately, it's Koscheck.

Thanks to limba for this AWESOME sig
