I totally got it. But it's just really kinda dumb and the 3 of us tried to add some legitimacy to this thread. Really, the point of starting a thread is to initiate discussion and debate, not to fail at being funny.

Kinda like how GSP was knocked out by midget Serra? Except this time its against a much larger, taller, longer fighter who can match his athleticism......

How deluded MMA fans, or should I say, GSP nuthuggers have become to think that just because an athlete outwrestles 4 or 5 WW's he can suddenly beat a gigantic LHW on the rise.

Like I said, the size does play a role here. But GSP is the number 2 p4p fighter in the World and Jones is just an up and comer who can not match GSP's skills anywhere except maybe Greco Roman Wrestling. But even in the Wrestling apartment I see GSP ahead of him. So how should Jones beat George? On the feet size doesn't play much of a factor anymore. Plus George would probably fight him at around 195-200 and Jones would be 230 maybe. So thats not a HUGE size advantage here in my eyes. I don't see where Jones could beat him. The standup would be nice to watch from Jones, but he is nowhere near an elite striker. His BJJ is nowhere near GSP's as well so.. I would bet on GSP.

Jones will take it to the ground and pummel GSP into submission.

Theres these things called weight classes for a reason. GSP cannot hurt Jones with his strikes, GSP for that matter, has trouble hurting guys smaller than him with strikes, while 5'6 dwarves make him tap out. If you don't think being 5 inches taller and having a 10 inch reach advantage is beneficial for striking then I question either your common sense, or your general knowledge of combat. Jon Jones is around 240, he's a HW fighting at LHW, GSP is a 180lb WW...Jones would throw him around like a ragdoll in grappling, and in the striking, he touches GSP's face and GSP's chinny ass goes down and submits... Nowhere in this fight can GSP win.

Jon Jones fights at 205. So none of us knows if he really cuts 35 pounds to make weight. I doupt that! GSP however is a big WW who should already fight at MW. He walks around at 195. He could easily fight Jones at 205 comfortably without a problem.

He doesn't have a ten inch reach advantage either. Maybe 7 or 6 but not 10. Plus the better striker normally wins the striking even if the other guy has a reach advanatge. I consider George to be the more techincal striker here with much much more experience. Jones throws wild strange punches whether GSP picks his spots and beats up elite Strikers like Alves. Jones even went to the ground with Hammil.. who is not known for good striking at all!

GSP is a black belt in BJJ. Has Jones already reached a blue belt level at least? It didn't looked like it in the Vera fight..

Do you remember when BJ fought Lyoto? Size doesn't matter that much if you have experince on your side!

Plus GSP is the by many considered to be the best p4p fighter in the World. You earn yourself that spot. You can't put Jones in here and tell me he would just ragdoll him.. thats pretty silly.

Jon Jones is quite a big larger than GSP. You can visually tell that his reach is a lot bigger, and so is his weight/height.

Jones would beat him striking, and GSP would not be able to take Jones down. Jones ragdolled Matt and Vera, two guys who are actaully good at wrestling. Randy had a tough time controlling Vera in the clinch and things, where Jones ragdolled him to the ground, he did the same to Matt, who is really solid at wrestling. Jones is also extremely fast and explosive, two things that GSP normally has over his opponenets, but wouldn't have much of an advantage going into this fight.

GSP would have a really hard time beating Jones.

GSP would have a really hard time staying conscious long enough to tap out.
Fixed.
