Cool Why Doesn't Chuck Liddell just

Go train wrestling with GSP and Brock Lesnar. Use that wrestling base and L'n'P for two rounds. Then in the last round, while the opponent is all worn out and slow, unleash those baseball bats to the guys FACE!
It's boring, but better then being KTFO, everytime he comes near Dana White and the cage/

Because Chuck has said its that balls to the walls style that made the fans love him and he doesn't want to disappoint. Chuck wants to put on a show because he knows at the end of the day the fans will always respect him for it.

And I still love him and would have his babies. But I want him to retire nonetheless It makes me cringe to see him keep getting KOed...

Thanks to Toxic for the Awesome Sig!

Chuck is just the kind of guy who is always going to destroy his opponent or go out on his shield (much like Wanderlei Silva).

Too bad for him is chin is gone, reflexes are slower and hands are still too low.
Sucks because he was one of the reasons I got interested in the sport and started training.

I like Chuck mixing the game up with takedowns (it's safe and in america judges love it on the scoreboard), but I REALLY think he needs to move back to his counter style. He's not bad at being the aggressor, but he smells blood, loses his shit, and runs into punches that he shouldn't need to take at his age. Not that I know better than him or something, but I think the desire to be exciting has caused him to abandon the countering style that earned him so many KO's against hard strikers and competent grapplers, and giving that another go might be the last big improvement he can make for a last hurrah.

I think he simply can't absorb new knowledge.
Maybe he finds it near impossible to evolve, to develop his game.
He needs to understand the game has evolved dramatically in the last years. Top fighters are becoming more and more diverse, they are training in every aspect of the game in order to become better.
Watching the Countdown to UFC 115, I saw Chuck and his girlfriend eating vegetables and doing walks...wtf?!?
I know there was intense training behind the scenes, but i think a lot of us expected to see something new from Chuck...at least in his training.

.

BELIEVE!
