#1 Sorry it was his trainer that said it... and he said nothing to deny it or anything

#2 Watch the countdown. He didn't say it but he said what Frankie did was "a joke" and it was heavily implied that he thinks he won the fight. Proof is in his words with what SJ said in #4.

#3 It went unnoticed because getting hit in the mouth 2-4 times and throwing a jab when he's coming out isn't counter punching. You cannot successfully counter punch someone who is out striking you every exchange.

This is sort of prick thread, but Franky brought it, there's nothing to say this time.

It's not really a prick thread when it's the truth. I've never, EVER seen BJ lose a fight and not make excuses afterward. Either through his trainers or he himself saying it.

It is when BJ hasn't actually made any excuses for this fight. If he ends up giving an excuse than this thread is warranted but to say because he's done it before to justify a provoking thread is wrong.

I personally loved the "Frankie's corner carried him round to convince the judges that he won the fight" comment. It's just wrong on so many levels. The judges score each round individually; they don't sit there, wait till the end of the fight and stick a random number down on the page depending on how a fighter reacts with his corner at the end of the fight. It's laughable. I like BJ Penn, but that was a hilarious excuse for losing the first fight.

Frankie beat BJ up, that's all there is to it. Frankie's win wasn't due to BJ not having a good enough camp, not being fired up, or not seeing Frankie as a threat. Frankie just has a style that BJ Penn cannot deal with, and a gameplan that was implemented almost to perfection.

1. - Therefore you were making it up, lying. BJ actually denied it in SEVERAL video interviews and gave Frankie Edgar full credit for the victory, fact.

2. - Exactly, you said it in your first sentence, he didnt say it, so again, you made it up. He said "frankie edgar you the ultimate FIGHTING champion, what ever man, its a joke". BJ here was implying that frankie edgar didnt want to "fight" BJ because he was running around and running away from him for most of the fight. He said many tmes that BJ himsself didnt deserve to win the fight also and had a terrible showing. BJ's very own words.

3. - WRONG. He wasnt hitting him 2-4 times, he was actually punching the air 1 inch away bj 2-4 times and then getting tagged by BJ on the way out by hooks and jabs. Watch the fight again and again, i have. Any boxing fan will tell you that edgar clearly wasnt out boxing bj in that fight and was missing the majority of his exchanges.
