As someone who has boxed since he was 14 (8 years) and just started training for MMA about a year ago i can tell you that you chuck about 75% of your boxing methods out the window when you crossover.
It is a terrible comparrison to make. There are some very good boxers in MMA, of course there are going to be some bad ones it's the nature of the sport.

Also lets point out that.

BOXERS lack kickboxing skills. Those guys couldnt kick someone in the head if their lives depended on it. They dont even know what it means to Check a kick lmao.

Kickboxer>boxer in MMA for a leveled playground ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.

...which they make up for with a myriad of other skills that have proven time and time again to be superior to boxing.

ok, you guys are so right .... MMA guys have great punching skills. Floyd mayweather makes 40 million a fight todd duffee makes 8,000 a fight in the ufc . Todd duffee has as good hands floyd, but would rather fight for peanuts.

These MMA fighters are masquerading as strikers. there's no real strikers in mma yet. It is still all wrestlers and all grapplers. Guys are labeled strikers and they aren't . Chuck lidell is a wrestler. Vitor belfort is a grappler. Anderson silva is a grappler. bj penn is a grappler. calling them strikers is a marketing technique. A real boxer with a 6 months of takedown takedown defense will wipe the floor with these manufactured strikers

Enough insults everyone. We don't take that crap here.

They had a legitimate top 10 boxer at the time in UFC 1 and he tapped to the smallest guy in the tournament.

James Toney didn't even get an opportunity to throw a punch.

Ray Mercer tried to go fighting K-1 and got his ass kicked. Alistair Overeem went to K-1 and kicked ass.
Do you know what a professional boxer fighting Oveeem in a kickboxing match would look like. Boxing is fake fighting, guys you have to stand and only throw punches. Don't worry about being hurt either because we will give you two big pillows to hide behind.

In 6 months you may be able to grapple your dog, but you won't be anywhere near stopping a Division I wrestler's takedown.
Let Maywaether step in a K1 ring with Jose Aldo and you'll see what's a real striker.

Duffee is not in the main event , he is not promoting the fight. Boxers are not just the fighters most also promote there own fights which means they are covering expenses such as advertising. They are Dana White and Chuck Liddell. The business model is completely different.

Blah blah blah, this has been said a thousand times and every time its proven not to be true.
