Jon Fitch may be the most important person in UFC!

Jon Fitch..

Jon Fitch is a fighter mostly known for his 3-5 rounds decision fights. Usually he win as well.

The guy is 23 Wins, 3 losses and 1 no contest as of now. The guy keeps winning and winning when will he stop? However he does this in a way that most people find boring. Decisions.

So why should we watch and buy tickets to a show starring this man of boredom? I say its important to support him since we want MMA to pay top dollars to top fighters and not just to top showoff teater people.

If we want MMA to be seen as a true sport and not WWE we must support those who truley can fight as well. No matter how boring real MMA really is. So next time I see Jon Fitch I will give it a try. Not leave for a coffe.

What say you? Will you also start seeing Jon Fitch's fights of boredom just to show Dana we care for true MMA as a sport and not just the guys talking most trash and making the loudest noises?

Also what sould UFC do to better present fighters such as Jon Fitch, who got all the potential in the world but lacks excitment? Is there anything UFC can do to give those true (boring) top athleates better images?

Sorry but Fitch bores me..

He needs to learn how to finish fights or at least mix up his technique.

Jon is a beast, it's that simple. One man has been able to stop his ability in the cage and he still couldn't finish him, despite really trying.

Fitch is like the Patriots or Steelers, are they the most entertaining all the time? No, but they win and they have to be in the conversation for the best.

Not to mention I don't think Jon is boring at all, he is more subtle than guys who just stand up and GnP like a fool with no technique. Fitch is constantly advancing position and setting up passes and subs.

Think. It Ain't Illegal Yet

Sadly, you are the prime example of why this thread is right. People piss me off with their bitching and compaining about Fitch, he is a mixed martial artist doing what they are paid to do, win.

Next time he faces GSP he will be taking a brief break from victory.

Well to be fair, I dont bitch about him. I just dont find him entertaining or relevant to most discussions im involved in.

I personally would never start a thread bashing the guy or calling for him to be cut or penalized but since the question was asked I had to respond. Fitch just doesnt leave any impression on me whatsoever and there's a reason why Dana is reluctant to give title shots to guys like him.

Personally, I think Dana is trying damn hard to keep Fitch at bay. Fitch is the biggest threat to GSP. Jake Shields performance against Kamppman wasn't very impressive, but maybe he'll be in better shape for GSP's fight who knows. Alls I know for sure is that Fitch hasn't lost in over 8 years to anyone not named GSP.

He MAY be the most important person in the UFC "!", what's may about it...go big or go home son.

Call him the greatest in the UFC right now, call his Fitch-Fu the second coming of Gracie Ju jitsu for god sakes man PRAISE HIM.

BTW I'd like him a lot better if they matched him up with other wrestlers.

D) All of the above; He's a boring ass beast. 100% beast, while 100% boring. They could sing night time lullaby's by recapping his fights.

Nonetheless, he's effective and will probably beat my boy Penn, just make sure to have your coffee so you don't doze off and miss rounds 2 & 3.

Sadly its a matter of opinion, so no ones right and no ones wrong, But the general opinion of him is that he is boring, simple as that. He has only 1 technique in his arsenal and thats holding people down. His striking sucks, his wrestling and BJJ isnt amazingly good, he just knows how to keep you down, nothing entertaining about it but it gets the wins so you cant really fault him for it either.
