I do think it would be fun going out in the middle of no where tracking and hunting animals just for the adventure of it and the reward of spending the time to track and hunt something on your own. But i got to be honest its horrible when you see someone just shoot a helpless animal like that, i know its hypocritical but i cant help the way i feel lol

p.s. i think its funny how there is a ad for a all you can eat restaraunt with pictures of burgers on it at the bottom of the page lol

I'd love to try hunting. Living in the Uk, you don't get much opportunity.

Lining up crosshairs on an oblivious and defenseless animal, then pressing a trigger requires skills? Really? Wow, amazing.

Really? That's like saying fighting is easy because all you have to do is punch someone in the face.

I don't even hunt and I know it requires much more skill than that.

Would there have been this outrage against hunting if it had been GSP, or Wandi, or Crocop or some other fan favourite doing said hunting?

I think not.

Either way, comparing mistreatment of animals used to mass produce food and getting a warm fuzzy feeling when you shoot a pretty awesome looking animal (that you do not plan to eat) are pretty different things.

I never feel bad when I kill fish that I catch and eat them. I do feel bad when I accidentally catch something too small and it swallows the lure or some other accident that will result in it dieing.

People can call me liberal wimp but I have never enjoyed watching anything die. When I kill something I like that there is a purpose. And when things die for no reason it pisses me off. I can't really explain it any other way.
To each his own. However, in many places there is a clear reason. Overpopulation. They (the population of deer) are in competition for food and do damage to people (cause accidents, ruin yards, etc.). If the population isn't controlled, then yuo will have deer starving to death.

Regardless, I couldn't kill a deer myself, but I have absolutely no problem if someone else does it. Brock's reason to hunt is for sport and food. Not sure where you get this "no reason" from. It's not like he is shooting it and leaving it to die and moving onto the next deer.

From my experience, people like to take issue with things they don't fully understand. This may not be the case with you, but I would suggest doing some more research (esp. regarding deer populations).

Don't get me wrong we always used all the meat when my family hunted if somebody got a buck then we just turned it into jerky. (everything tastes good as jerky.) but that is both expensive and well if your not a fan of jerky what the hell are you gonna do with a couple garbage bags full?
