i'm a firm believer in the get the f&#k up guard. a guard is only useful when trying to use a triangle choke. a wrestler or a boxer/wrestler doesn't need a guard because wrestling is superior to bjj. belfort, for example, has great bjj, but he uses his striking and gnp instead because he has the speed to use that more effectively. any gifted athlete can gnp someone- it's natural survival instinct when in a scrap. pacman would be a step ahead in the cage because of his speed. it's not as if he can't wrestle. anyone who's been in a lot of street fights can wrestle but he wouldn't have to wrestle because his sick cardio would allow him to 'old belfort' anyone for an extended period of time, which would actually end with pacman being the one to gnp his opponent. no one would be quick enough to sub pacman, even less so with his machine gun fists turned on, which they would be in a fight. when double leg take downs would be attempted on him, he'd quickly move to the side and then let the fists fly when his opponent stood up.

Wrestling is never ever superior to BJJ if the wrestler doesn't know defensive BJJ. You need to know both disciplines to fight in MMA.

Boxing seems easy enough to master. Outstanding physical traits (strength, speed and coordination) and backyard boxing experiece will take a top notch wrestler to mma greatness.
You see what I did there? I can use ignorance as the basis for my entire argument, too!!!

i was never beat at it. i was always 'quicker' than my opponent. every time things hit the ground i'd always use my quickness to get the win. i used to wrestle a lot against friends and people from other towns i worked with. i also wrestled in HS gym class, lol. i would have wrestled for a team but my school was too small- they didn't offer it. i almost moved away to a town/school that offered it.
it wouldn't take many, w/ his lightning speed, long to become a great wrestler because there isn't much to learn in the sport. i boxed a little in the past. boxing is called a science for good reason.

"i hurt myself being stupid" by treasure cat. a decent instrumental rock tune edgar could make his entrance to when fighting pacman.
