MMA Smacktalk MMA Smacktalk is for all the cheering, jeering, and smack-talking that you want. This is the stuff that isn't appropriate for the MMA Discussion forum. Rules are light, so if you don't have a sense of humor, then don't go here!

line edgar and aldo up and pacman cuts through both like butter.
forget about aldo's bjj. everyone knows wrestlers dominate bjj practitioners 9 times out of 10. wrestling is easy enough to master. outstanding physical traits (strength, speed and coordination) and backyard wrestling experience will take a top notch boxer to mma greatness.

In Boxing? Yeah, he'd eat anyone in his weight class or atleast near it alive.
In MMA, one takedown and he'd get blasted with Ground and Pound, or someone would slap a submission on him and take a limb home.

i'm a firm believer in the get the f&#k up guard. a guard is only useful when trying to use a triangle choke. a wrestler or a boxer/wrestler doesn't need a guard because wrestling is superior to bjj. belfort, for example, has great bjj, but he uses his striking and gnp instead because he has the speed to use that more effectively. any gifted athlete can gnp someone- it's natural survival instinct when in a scrap. pacman would be a step ahead in the cage because of his speed. it's not as if he can't wrestle. anyone who's been in a lot of street fights can wrestle but he wouldn't have to wrestle because his sick cardio would allow him to 'old belfort' anyone for an extended period of time, which would actually end with pacman being the one to gnp his opponent. no one would be quick enough to sub pacman, even less so with his machine gun fists turned on, which they would be in a fight. when double leg take downs would be attempted on him, he'd quickly move to the side and then let the fists fly when his opponent stood up.

Pacquiao would get destroyed by Edgar and Aldo, but especially Edgar. Edgar is ridiculously fast also, and there's a huge difference between street fight wrestling and wrestling with a guy who was an NCAA Division 1 wrestler. Pacquiao would be on his back before he gets the chance to land a punch. As for Aldo, good luck standing up with him. With a Boxer's base his legs would get kicked from underneath him. He will never have felt the pure power of an Aldo leg-kick, and if Pacquiao tried to close the distance Aldo would just change levels and take him down and submit him. Not taking anything away from Manny as an athlete, but pretty much any Pro Boxer would get mauled in MMA by the top level guys.

Kobe Bryant would dominate in the hockey arenas if he'd move to NHL. No one can match his speed.
