Got to disagree with you. Silva is a much more dominant champion than Belfort could ever be. I really do not like Silva but I don't think anyone will use excuse that he is old but more likely he was not motivated. Even then Belfort seems easier to beat than Silva in my eyes.

"lack of motivation" will be an even worse/more irrelevant excuse than "he was too old".

i think it comes down to this. belfort is quick enough to move inside on silva. once this happens, it's all about flurries on silva's head cuz silva definitely won't be able to clinch belfort before belfort lands the flurry. the flurry sets up the gnp, which is the final nail in silva's coffin and probably his career.

it's silva's time to sit front row and watch a faster, more powerful, and simply meaner champion rule the ufc mw division.
Did you see the look on Vitor's face when Lidell dropped him? Complete shock and a small amount of fear was what I saw. Watch his other losses. You can see when he loses it.

I believe Belfort will get caught coming inside Anderson's reach. His hands are extremely quick but his footwork isn't and his head movement isn't great either. Getting inside on Silva is a dangerous prospect. If he clinches Vitor... it will be a short night for him. And with Andy's reach combined with his timing it will be extremely hard for Vitor to avoid that clinch.

I won't count Vitor out but I honestly just don't see him winning this matchup.

That is not dead which can eternal lie and withs strange aeons even death may die.

andy has already said multiple times publicly that he has been looking forward to this fight with belfort for a long time. it's no secret that he's been training hard for it for a long time. i'll punch any fanboy in the face who uses this excuse.

... Really that is what you will do. You will find all these people on the internet who will use the lack of motivation excuse and punch them in the face. Vitor will be an interesting fight but for people who have had the belt for how many years now? and you really don't think he gets bored at times. That is what is going to be said. I don't like either fighter but I really don't think Vitor will beat Silva.

let's not forget how easy belfort wrestled lidell (who has much better tdd than andy) to the floor several times, if belfort chooses to take that approach for this fight. belfort also has better bjj than silva, though i doubt he'll choose or even need to use it.

Ha Ha... Why should I give you my address? I am afraid of you. Please don't find me and punch me in the face.

Fact is there are a lot of Anderson fans and to think that and entire book would not be written with all the excuses that will come around... then your foolish. They already use that excuse for any bad performance he has ever had. Do you really think that if Silva lost people would not use that one? seriously?

i'm not saying i don't think they'll use the "lack of motivation" excuse. i'm only saying they'll get punched in the face by me if they use it.

I have Anderson for this fight as it's a smart bet. The only way he loses is if he gets tagged and dropped.
