IMO Paulo Filho would own Anderson Silva as we have all seen Anderson Silva has a problem on the ground if he isnt on the top position and Filho has great Takedowns and once he got him on the ground silva wouldnt be able to Sub him and Filho would just maintain that position and just pound away or maybe even get an armbar in the later rounds and if he was in the ufc and allowed elbows ......GG

Filho (and hendo) are possibly the worst match ups for silva (strong wrestlers with good GnP).

Lets bump this.

IMO chuck is a bad match up for shogun and wandy. Both of these guys have suspect chins and have a very wild style. Chucks right hand would eventually find its mark, and i think we all know what happens if it lands on shogun or wand. Of course, wand and shogun def. have the tools to beat chuck, but they have to execute there gameplans better. If they come in swinging, chucks gonna KO them.

Now onto why I think jackson will beat chuck again. Rampage is a very crisp boxer, with good combonations, alot of power, and is very good at blocking punches. His main strengh, of course, is his slams and GnP, witch he executed perfectly vs chuck the first time. Chucks TD is great, but if rampage wears him out with punches or in the clinch like the first time, jackson will slam him. Jackson also has arguably the best chin in his weight class, only being KO'd by wandy's/shogun's knees (witch im sure hit as hard as chucks right, plus he took ALOT of them). You could argue that jackson hasnt looked the same in a while, but imo alot of that is overexaggerated, jackson's performance is really dependent on his opponent. On the other hand, many people argue that chucks gotten better, witch, besides his footwork, I havent seen to much of. I mean, lets look at some facts, Tito (who is easily inferior to rampage chinwise) took chuck 3 rounds. He was in trouble a couple times, but he recovered the first time, and the next time was a very controversial stoppage. If tito can go toe to toe with chuck with those results, so can rampage, and most likley with even better results. Chucks cardio is less then stellar, but rampage has shown that he can go the distance. Bottom line is that jackson is the worst match up for chuck at LHW, and if both of these guys show up healthy, rampage is walking out with the belt.

i agree with most of that fighter.

Im not sure who's gonna win diego vs. kos tho.

I mean in my opinion all kos has to do to win is have good enough boxing not to get pummled like last time on the feet..

This is a fight i put at 50/5 right now.

If koscheck comes with good boxing and ground and pound he cant lose.

But i doubt his boxing compared to diego and his experience level

Great post +Rep.

I think Diego will win. Diego has shown he can handle Kos' superb wrestling. I know Kos has improved since the show, but his wrestling probably hasn't gotten that much better, and Diego did a great job last time when Kos used nothing but his wrestling. Now Kos will be using less wrestling and more standup so I think Diego will be able to handle it even better. I think Diego will knock Kos out early in the 3rd round.

What the **** is so goddamn special about GSP my god I am so sick of people just dismissing any of his opponents because they think GSP is on some whole other level or something. I guarantee you all when GSP fights Hughes and Diego, most of you nuthuggers are going to be crushed. Hughes beat GSP not too long ago by implementing his own gameplan and winning in the first round. Last time they fought Hughes went in and tried to beat GSP using a whole different gameplan, and obviously it didn't work. If Hughes is smart, their 3rd fight is going to be much much different, and I wouldn't expect to see Hughes getting TKOed this time around.

Don't get me wrong, GSP is good as hell, but people take it too far. He's only like 13-1 or something...who has he beaten to put him at a whole other level than every other welterweight who has walked the planet?

-He beat Hughes when Hughes tried to stand with him (Lots of decent fighter could have beaten Hughes in a kickboxing match)
-He beat BJ by a controversial split decision (probably wouldn't go the same in a rematch, BJ was gassed and GSP still couldn't do shit)
-He beat Sean Sherk (who is naturally 20-25 pounds lighter than him)
-He beat Karo, I'll give him that (but he almost got subbed)
-Jay Heiron??? (Jay Whoron?)
-His best fight was Frank Trigg and he made him look amatuer but so did Hughes and he did it twice.

GSP is 13-1

Diego is about to be 20-0

Hmmm...lemme think...why do I think Diego will win

Because the guy is 20-0 and never had a title shot that's why. He will not lose his first shot at the title.
GSP....beat the one that matters most...he's wearing the belt.

Yea, but Sylvia was wearing the belt too, does that make him invincible and unbeatable with no one else on the planet who can even come close to being as good as him? No. Same with GSP, he's overrated, he'll get beat eventually, and people will realize he's not the second coming of Christ.

I agree with you on that point, everyone gets beat sooner or later, thats what makes the UFC and Pride worth watching,it's good to see the belts change hands,if they are kept too long by one person, that person starts to think they are an unbeatable god.

Lol, except when they have it TOO long (Hughes) then people think they're just overrated and pampered.
