In Japan promotion is just more in a visual way while in America, in particular the US, there is a lot done via trash talk wars and "out of the octagon"-rivalries.

yeah all the japanese do is giving their fighters a huge stage. as soon as their in the ring, it is all about the sport MMA.

I think its a shame that the biggest promotion in the world gives their fighter a curtain to walk through.
Not saying that they should do it like in PRIDE or DREAM, but at least let them have kind of a stage. I don't get that minimalism.

In Japan the link between pro wrestling and mma is huge and pro wrestling is more respected so mma wants that big show feeling of pro wrestling, in the US people see pro wrestling in a much less respectable light and it is not seen as legitimately as in Japan so in the US they want to differentiate themselves from prowrestling rather than embrace it.

So let the downvotes begin but please for the love of God, somebody shed some light on this stupid chain thing.
it's something he's done since the pride days. let's also not forget that he used to wear a wolfman mask too, so this is actually toned down from the old times.

I think it's a reference to junkyard dog, the pro wrestler, as quentin was pretty amped on pro wrestling when he was in college and almost became one himself when he got out.

Either fresh to the MMA scene or too dumb to learn how to use a search function. Inflammatory posts without the research to back it up just makes people look ignorant. No place for it on this forum.

Why do you bring the subject of the chain now? He's had it for years!
