Sorry I know there is another thread, but no poll?? Come on, let's see where the members stand.

I like the UFC. My favorite fighters are in the UFC, the cage, TUF, Ultimate Fight Nights, UFC Unleashed, and even Inside The UFC. They are really pushing MMA into American mainstream and you gotta respect that. As for the rules, it something that can't be helped for a while. State comissions govern that. I would, however, not be opposed to consequences to boring fighters like in Pride. Anyways, get to it.

BORING....Are you serious...If pride is so boring then why do they own UFC fighters...I'd say at least 80 to 85% of UFC fighters wouldn't make it in Pride...Especially Lidell...at 205 you have Noguera, Silva(loss or not),and please lets not forget Shogun...who I personally think could whoop anyone at 205...Chuck has a B.S. round house right that comes from let field, and good takedown defense..that's it...That's not enough in Pride...Chuck would get dismantled...As far as Randy is concerned...he is a machine, always have been...now if anyone would have been sucessful in Pride it would have been Randy....the fighters in pride are relentless...and a young Coutour, was just that...OH YEAH..Boring... TIM SYLVIA, MATT HUGHES, I'm not going to talk about franklin..I do respect him as a figher...but for TIM, MATT, And CHUCK (all paper champs)I think they get to much credit for nothing...there a bunch of good fighters beating a bunch of bad fighers...If you win in Pride it's because you beat the best..

I agree completely. 90 percent of the top talent is in pride. MetalMunkey, go check out the top fighters in Pride. They are far superior to UFC fighters.

I agree with all of you. Pride is the number 1 organization in the world. Maybe not in America, but in the world they are number 1. We just dont hear about it because the American media only talks about the UFC because it is an American company. Politics!

i think this may be a toss up. One thing i really like about the UFC over pride is the octagon. Seeing the fighters locked in and being pushed up against a cage just has a better feel for me.

As for pride fighters kickin the shit out of UFC fighters, i think some UFC fighters have held their own against Pride fighters. In the last few pride shows for example, Lawler, Diaz, Trigg for example.

Pride obviously has the better HW division. I think chuck could be Wanderlei for sure but maybe not shogun.

Silva vs Henderson would be good.

I think Sherk could beat Gomi.

Either way who cares which is better, a true MMA fan would love both their organization for what the both offer (great fights)

Pride is not better. They probably have a better HW devision but that gap is certainly narrowing. I think UFC is better in most other devisions.

Pride has the whole Fireworks and Explosions thing going on, which I hate. It reminds me too much of pro wrestling. I also like the idea of a cage much, much better than a ring.

The idea that Pride fighters "own" ufc fighters is bull shit. This usually only happens when UFC drops a fighter and he goes to Pride. This happens alot because Pride always takes the guys that weren't good enough for UFC. Ex. Lawler, Trigg, Josh Barnett, even Wandy. Now I'm not saying that Pride doesn't have good fighters, even some that are better than UFC fighters. But it is absolutely rediculous to say that Pride is "better" than UFC.

I watch and enjoy both. Both have bad events, both have good events. Both are good organisations for MMA. Both promote the sport well. Both have good fighters. What good comes from someone saying 'oh, pride iz sooooo much betta thn ufc. it has fedor and gomi n they ttly OWN ufc fighterz' And viceversa. No good whatsoever. Someone who watches price is not gonna stop watching it because some douche on the internet says ufc is better, or the other way around. This is the one thing that has really annoyed me on this forum since I joined. There is absolutely no point in going on about how one organisation has better fighters or rules. There is no point whatsoever. They are both good to whatch and both have a lot of fans. Saying to someone 'you should watch pride aswell if you like ufc' or 'you should watch ufc aswell, if you like pride' is fine but constantly attesting to one being better than the other has no gains for anyone and is only hurting MMA.

Rant over. As a personal protest, I'm not going to vote for either. lol

I used to argue for Pride, but its crystal clear its that UFC is unstoppable. they'll be the only real game in town pretty soon.
