Sonnen looked ripped. Way pumped for this fight. I don't see him getting knocked out. I'll be happy if either guy wins. At the same time I'll be sad when either guy loses too.

Stann's tdd is horrible and Sonnen does not plan on trading punches with him. As much as I would love to see Sonnen out cold face down on the mat I just don't see it happening.

Sonnen controls this fight from start to finish. Stann is going to be gassed out pretty bad. I could even see Sonnen picking up a late sub in this one..

The thing is, Stann comes from Jackson's camp. Sonnen is extremely one dimensional. I'm sure they have thought of something over there to handle the wrestling. Whether it be subs, wall walking back up, or just a lot of TDD. I don't know. But I'm sure he came well prepared.

I'm not saying he's a sure bet but Stann has done nothing but improve and you know I think he'll be able to get up enough to make it a close fight or possibly sub Sonnen.

He might lose but he is a tough fight. His tdd is solid contrary to some pplz opinion but with a wrestler like sonnen I thing you're just going to get taken down so you need to be able to have the skill to get up just as much as tdd

Horrible? That's hardly the case. It definitely needed improvement, but to call it horrible is a bit harsh.

Personally, I rather see a finish in the last round every time. First round KOs are exciting, but do not always show who the superior fighter is. By round 3 or 5 it is usually more obvious. Unless a fighter absolutely dismantles an opponent the first few minutes and then stops them. For my money, I'd rather see a war of attrition for 3-5 rounds. But that's just me being selfish.

On a side note: Sonnen did look in phenomenal shape. I'm sure he is experienced enough to avoid overtraining, but I've seen it happen before.

Should be a great fight. I usually do not root for specific fighters, but there are guys I like to see win. I care more about exciting fights. But, being a former Soldier myself, it's hard not to pull for Stann.
