MMA Smacktalk MMA Smacktalk is for all the cheering, jeering, and smack-talking that you want. This is the stuff that isn't appropriate for the MMA Discussion forum. Rules are light, so if you don't have a sense of humor, then don't go here!

Politically correct people and those who try to be something they're not like Tiger Woods are conformists & slaves to the system.
Chael is probably the closest thing to a real rebel and outlaw in mainstream pop culture America has.
The natural thing would probably be for haters(Divato) to nail him to a cross and crucify him Jesus style'.

It's quite simple really and people still fall for it =]

this
but the 2nd category are the most affected, they lose their nerves and get offended, lose patience, and they are the only ones whose lives are impacted by the guy.
the 1st category just enjoys the show and probably don't care as much as the 2nd.

Unless a man is an elected official, it is innaccurate to say he represents an entire country. Only a fool would see it otherwise. In this case, Chael isn't the one making America look stupid....it is our elected officials.
Furthermore, your assessment of Chael's skills etc is personal opinion, not shared by many others -- even those who hate him can recognize how dangerous his wrestling is. If AS is one of the best P4P fighters, then the man who gave him the most trouble must be considered pretty good himself. Wouldn't you say?

Anyone who can talk trash and back it up, that's a fighter worth watching. There are enough fake nice guys who say things to make their fans swoon that a guy who blatantly lies and makes up assinine jokes is refreshing, the fact that he kicks so much ass in the octagon complements it. Chael is a marketing genius, when he retires the UFC will instantly hire him as a marketing guy. He knows exactly how to hype a fight the right way. Take the GSP Shields fight... the anithype almost predicted what was going to happen in that fight, when a fighter trash talks he is forced to go into the cage and lay it all on the line.
Love or hate Chael, you will watch a rematch with Silva and we will all be riveted the whole fight. That's marketing genius right there, so many people are wayyyyyy too sensitive.

And, for the record, I am an American who hates Chael Sonnen with a fiery burning passion that is almost holy.

Fair enough. I'm sure there are many more than even 3 categories of people but I just went over the two that I have noticed is the overwhelming majority.

He's disrespectful towards a people and the fact that some people back him just shows what kind of people they are. Disrespecting an ENTIRE country, the people and the language is just total bullshit. He's afraid to goto Brazil, you see him back track quickly when he was asked about the fight in Brazil? No shit, he's a disrespectful **** who couldn't beat Anderson with roids and a broken rib for Silva...pathetic

Except that he was just joking. Has the entire world lost its sense of humor? if he started saying Canadians live in Igloos and ride dogsleds to work I'd laugh. Christ, people need to lighten up.

Where are you from Divato? I ask only so I can make asinine generalizations about you in return.

I don't understand why people always get butt hurt by Sonnen.
He's intelligent, funny, entertaining, and comes to fight every time. Plus, do you guys really think he means every word that comes out of his mouth? If so, you're gullible and would make a good WWE fan. He's merely selling a fight/getting fans interested even at the expense of his reputation. So the more people that cry, the better he's doing his job.
Also, about the TRT..I don't recall the actual numbers that came back and therefor I'm not sure if he was outside the "normal" range. If he wasn't, then what's the problem? It's like if one fighter has a genetic predisposition to have joint problems or weak bones. Does that mean if he gets a metal plate inserted that he's to blame for being a cheater? If not, then why would Sonnen be? Low testosterone is common and if he was using prescribed hormones to boost his T levels into a normal range, I see no misuse of "roids".
If someone knows more about the actual test values, then please let me know. If they are out of the normal range, then he's a cheater and everyone on this forum/elsewhere has the right to call him such. If not, then the morons saying "omg roids!" are ignorant.
