Still...i can't ignore Hughes's stupid smile in that pic...like he achieved something remarkable...and than reading his comments....it makes you wonder...
Why?

I understand where you are coming from. You're obviously a compassionate guy and I can relate to a degree. I certainly never enjoy seeing an animal killed. (As a horticulturist, I even get sad when I have to kill a bug) But I definitely believe hunting wild game is a necessary part of living in a place like I do.

As far as Hughes goes, I also say **** Hughes, just not for this.

We can mostly agree on this

Lions will kill hyenas just because they hate them sure they compete for food but they will go miles out of their way to make a point, dolphins will kill for sport so will cats, don't tell me you've never seem a cat pack around a mouse all day and keep it alive so they can play with it, chimpanzee's and monkeys will kill because they are bored among other reasons.

I lived on a farm as a child, I've seen a lot of anamals kill just because they can I've seen them kill out of instinct as well, I've seen the difference. Some of you need to get out of the city and see how nature works because I see a lot of flawed perceptions.

My horse hated this boxer that lived down the road, never had a issue with our dogs. Anyway that dog was outside their property on a trail and my horse stomped that dog into a puddle with me beating the hell out of it the entire time, he didn't give two shits about what I wanted he was killing that dog. So far as I know the only contact he had w the dog is when we rode by he had no reason to kill it so yeah animals are sold short on intelligence but people overlook other aspects as well, I'm not saying they should be abused but shooting a large cat is never a big deal.

First, I am not a fan of Matt Hughes ( the person) I do very much respect his fighting career.
The hunting and killing wildlife is as much of a business as the UFC, the money collected from cities, counties and states is a huge and necessary income to them, wildlife is managed for that purpose, if not for hunters and the hunting community there would be a lot more unemployed people than there currently is. Many species of animals would already be gone if not for hunters, commerical harvesting would have wiped out hundreds of them. Im not going to get into everything positive about hunting and hunters becuase most dont care or just wont read it, you could probably just look up wildlife conservation and see most of it there. I would go on but im sure most have quit reading by now if you dont agree and those that understand do not me to inform them.
Hunting is not bad, but there are bad hunters.

Matt fails to beat Koscheck and undersized WW's like Penn so has to get a gun and kill and innocent animal, just for a f*cking fun afternoon out? Dick! I respected Hughes but this pisses over my overall impression of the guy.

Are you an idiot? Do you have kids? Do you realize on the average american's income, dinner for 3 nights for 6 people comes out to well over 100 dollars?

This thread seriously pisses me off. Way too many people talking about hunting that have probably lived in a city their whole life and don't know anything about it.

AGREED.

it's a country thing. Y'all don't get it.

And as long as you have country people supplying your food you don't have to if you don't want to.

go cry about something else. This thread reminds me of those 1st world problem memes.

You said in your previous post it wasn't necessary. Now you're calling me an idiot for agreeing with you and saying it wasn't necessary? That seems pretty weird.

Also, why do you make assumptions about the background of people who don't agree with you about something? I've never lived in a city in my life, multiple members of my family farm and hunt, and I know quite a bit about it.

Also, I've been defending hunting, both for sport and food, as not being any worse than eating meat this entire thread. So I don't understand why you're so upset.

Some people think that they can convey either a philosophy on life or a complex political statement using a signature on the internet. I'm not one of them.
