The only reason Tim was the champ is cause he is so big
he cuts to make 265, he is more like 280-290

The other heavyweights dont need to cut.
Hell Randy probably chugged a jug of water before the weight in to appear bigger.

Tim is most likely 70 pounds heavier then randy
and was probably 50-60 pounds heavier then andre, or monson.

That would be like tito fighting an undersized lightweight,
or crocop against hughes.

That like saying Fedor is only champ cause he is so good standing and on the ground. Being big is Tim Sylvia's strength, get over it

Fighters to watch
John Salter
Chris 'The Chronic' Conolley
Marcus 'The Bruiser' Brimage
Adrian 'Guard Yo Grill' Miles

I dont think I will ever predict another fight after last night. Silvia sucks, mcdonald is a bitgh, and what about sobral he used to be my fighter. I couldnt believe randy punked out Silvia(bad) and I never would have taken Lambert over babalu. Man was I wrong. Now I wonder how many light heavy weights could beat tim the unmaniac. I thought Franklin would not be himself after his last fight, but I was glad to see him back kickin ass again.

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

Good call. I put a foot in my mouth after the main event. But I was sooo glad too. I can't believe I doubted Randy!

I mean how awesome was it to watch Couture standing over Tim in the corner making Tim look like his ***** on his back.

I don't know what's next for Couture...I honestly don't really want to see him fight Cro Cop, for his sake. But he put on a clinic and it was unbelievable.

Newsflash.... Tim Sylvia sucks! It's official. I was thrilled to see old man Couture beat the tar out of the former "champ". It's about time the UFC brings real talent to the heavyweight division. Couture is an amazing fighter. In my opinion, the best ever at his age. With CroCop now in the UFC, at least we can look forward to an interesting fight between the new champ and CroCop. I hope Tim Sylvia retires in shame knowing he was the most boring and undeserving fighter to hold a belt. Even if he thinks he can beat Couture (which is at least in the realm of possibility) he doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of defeating Mirko.

I can't believe he used the excuse of injury! What a freakin dumbsht... That just confirms that he is NO CHAMPION, and does not belong among the best of the UFC. And he thought a match with Couture was a disrespect to him?! Look at you now...

I also thought Couture was going to win, although I had no real reason to believe that, just a gut feeling ^_^

I wouldnt have bet either way, but im happy that Randy won, its what i wanted and hoped that would happen, but at 40+ i was doubtful, seems he's taken his time out to improve his boxing and his "Ali" style head weaving, that was awsome for a UFC fighter.
