UFC 2007 Video Game - What are your expectations?
I was just wondering what everyone wants this new UFC game to be like? What do you hope it has? What do you hope it doesn't? Ect.
For Me:
I hope there are a crap load of fighters to choose from in every weight didvion. Current and Legends.
I hope we have a lot of venues to choose from.
I hope the exebtion mode is excellent.
I hope they have a "Championship" mode, (Like in the Smackdown vs Raw game) where you get to choose which fighter hold which belts, then you can eigther fight as them to try and retain, or fight against to try and win.
I hope they have an extensive "Create a Fighter" option, where you can make a super detailed fighter.
I hope they make a detailed "Career" mode, with three different options: Option A: Choose an exsisting fighter to fight as. Option B: Create a fighter and then start out fighting at Fight Night Live events, then if you build up enough wins, you being fighting at PPV's. If you keep winning, then you get to start Co- Main eventing PPV's. And eventually you'll get a title shot. If you lose, then you have to start from square one. If you win, then you must retain as long as you can. Option C: TUF mode. You create a fighter. Start out on the TV show. Try to win it. If you win, then you continue along at UFC PPV's.
I hope in Career mode they make it where you can have a choice of which opponets you face, like an offer (You can accept or Decline).
In career mode you get to sign a cotrct and yada yada.
I want unlockable fighters, from both UFC and maybe two or three from Pride.
What about you?

I hope they really focus on both the striking and ground aspects of MMA. Something tells me though theyll churn out some crap slug fest with some shitty BJJ system thats nothing like the real thing. Also I want to see the fighters really play like their styles in real life. I want to see Matt Hughes with his wrestling, Chuck with his stand up, Penn with his BJJ, etc...

The problem is what game makers like to build vs what they should build. They always want to put lifebars on people and make each fight as long as possible. They should develop it similiar to Bushido Blade where a clean cut to the head killed someone. If I get a clean kick to someones skull I expect them to go down, but in most games it would just take off most of their life. It takes away from the excitement of the game because you aren't just 1 move away from winning.

Is there any info on it at all yet??? You would think if it was going to be released this year that there would be something on it by now. I mean, they have already released some info on the next Smackdown vs. RAW video game.
I hope that this game kicks ass. The career/TUF modes are interesting. What about a "GM" situation where you can make the matches and run the UFC. I guess it wouldnt work as well as a Wrestling game would, but just a thought.

what i think would be crazy (it won't happen)
but if they made a MMA game not just a UFC game, where you make a guy and start out fight in small shows then work your way up to evenchally going to UFC or Pride, maybe you even start fighting in a certin year, like you could start as a 20 year old in the early 90's and fight in UFC 1.
one thing i hope they have in this game is camps, join team TKO or Gracie or etc

I'm hoping the career starts out with you creating a fighter, going on to an Ultimate Fighter show, then moving on to the UFC.

Yea theres loads of fighting game modes and whatnot that goes on in the menus but most importantly i wanna see realistic fighting movement. Even in recent wrestling games for the 360 the movement is very arcadey and although that adds to fun when say playing against a friend, its very dissapointing if you want realism.
A good game that set the marker for fighting games was EA's FN round 3 for the 360.
This game came out over a year ago and even now its one of the best looking 360 games out there.
The create a fighter option should be extensive, to the extent where you can add tattoo's to your guy if you want, logos to your fighters shorts, and octagon entrance music.
Ability for classic fighters to be unlocked, like the more you win the more fighters from yesterday will be unlocked.
And last but not least... an interference mode... say if your fighting poorly the crowd will react to this and start booing saying the fights boring... if this continues for such a time, once the round is over dana white or the referee will say: right if you dont start putting on a show now your next fight is cancelled... and you'll miss the next ufc or something.

That's what I was thinking. FN: Round 3 was great and the UFC game should incorporate the joysticks to strike as well as work the ground.
You should start out as a nobody, work some local gym, then make it onto the ultimate fighter(with mini-games/workouts), then hit UFN, and last but not least make it onto a PPV card and work your way up and stay there. This is truly career mode.
Manager mode where you hire/fire, set up cards and things of that nature, basically you are Dana White.
A deep roster would be great with UFC fighters, Pride fighters and WEC fighters.
Blood is always cool in video games and maybe add injuries from bruises that need to be taken care of to broken bones and concussions.
Different fight styles like judo, bjj, sambo, karate, kickboxing, submission fighting, wrestling, boxing/dirty boxing, tkd, jeet kun do, kung-fu, streetfighting, etc. Maybe even have hybrid styles to choose from.
Create a fighter would need to be real deep like WWE games. I want to see myself on tv.
The game needs to come with a free poster.
That's right a poster.

I want career mode where you can chose a fighter or make you're own.
I also want good graphics and good sound...
The last ufc didn't have great graphics and the sound was terrible.
