the points you bring up are the same which we debated at length when coming up with the rules, we all loved the idea of using created fighters but ultimately we wanted the league to be as accessible to as many members and players as possible which meant contingencies for those who are less inclined to build up their guy, or are eager to use their favourite fighter in the game. at the end of the day, everyone gets to pick the fighter they want now -- be it their own, or a member of the UFC alum. so with these factors in mind it's about as even as can be since everyone still has the opportunity to create and build up their own fighter to outshine the class/roster champ.

I'm a little confused on the fight selection now.

So we can choose a fighter that is already on the roster or use our own creation? If so that sounds great.

Does that mean that if you select a fighter that is already on the game, then you always play as that fighter?

No worries.
You can pick a new fighter every fight. The higher ranked player picks theirs first, then the lower ranked player picks theirs.

just to shed some light, for quitters, thats only for ranked matches. you cannot play against a friend in a ranked match only unranked. thq is also working on a patch to fix quitters and lag. also my CAF is rated a 99, so hope you heavyweights are ready.

I'm a LHW, my CAF is sitting at 95 and I still have one more year of training. I want to reach 100. And that's with my first carreer, I didn't optimize anything, didn't retry fubared sparring sessions. Using a max building you can end up with 105 or more.

BTW, I don't play a lot of time, maybe an hour, two max a day. You don't need MMORPG time to make a career.

Another thing, getting in the 90s is VERY expensive, you need a lot of points, even if you get your max bonus for your style, you still need to spend a lot. For example, a +1 in the 50s costs 5 points, in the 70s, it costs 25 points. So if you go for a stat or two at 99, you'll have weaknesses that can be exploited.

i'm maxing out my Nick Diaz at LW. My previous CAF was not done very well at all, just sort of hacked my way through the career to learn the ins and outs and totally missed the training session aspect. When i clued into the training i only had a year left so i retired the fighter to see his rating and he was rated 97. So... I don't think getting well ranked CAF guys is very hard. Tryin to hit 100+ with my new one. Watch out DP

ive actually seen a 108, but for my first 99 heavy i didnt know how to get alot of sparring points until the last year and a half so hopefully I can get my new heavy to higher than a 108.
