I honestly think if THQ can in depth it close to as much as they can in depth smackdown vs raw then I think it could be a freaking awesome game. Maybe a create a moveset where you pick each kind of punch and kick your fighter can do with many moves still locked for your caf and by leveling up styles of the CAF you unlock moves to use. The two styles only seems to piss off many people how about we redo the whole credit system in there and choose what we can unlock with our credits as in a sort of credit shop, where you can buy new sponsers, training parteners, attire, octagons, and new styles as in each CAF starts off with two styles a grappling and a striking and you can choose to unlock extra styles with credits you earn giving you chances to increase your stats and unlock moves for caf with them.
To get more people into the career and have them actually learn before online how about you have to unlock the online (maybe just to enter your caf this might take way too long if you just want to fight with regular fighters online). Maybe have a fixed rate of fights that your CAF will have to go through to unlock online mode for him an example could be your character starts out on begginer setting you have to win ten fights then the difficulty goes to easy then you have to win ten more then it hits medium... rinse and repeat till you finish expert then you unlock his online career.
To avoid perfect caf's how about a fixed number of sparring sessions, you unlock a fixed number after each fight won you can either store and save for a later date or spar up for your next fight. And use the same for camp invites, I would say unlock one for each style and when you pick a camp for one style you have to repeatedly go there untill you level up and the level up effects your status in different ways with certain bonus stats. ( i.e you chose team punishment for wrestling it took you 3 camp invites to level up so it took you through six fights to level it up and your stats foucused most on take down o with clinch grapple o in second and tdd and cgd lower with bonus stat increases of ground grapple o and ground striking which is different than the time you leveled up with extreme couture and everything focused on grappling with tdo and tdd slightly increased and bounses of clinch striking o and d ) Make many different camps and styles to choose from. People love customization. The game should pay more attention to learning moves and practicing than sparring so leveling up your styles and working with camp invites should be the main priority in heightening your stats.
Strength, Speed and Cardio training should be infinite until you go online with the character but restrictions on the maximum should be made according to how you build your character. The example is lessening and enlarging your maximums not adding to your stats. As in the bigger you make his limbs the stronger and slower, the longer the faster and weaker. You get to choose his weight cut as well for the weight you want to put him as in the heavier the stronger and less cardio and vise versa. This could restrict those people who have the 6 foot five 185 lbers with enlarged strength and speed.
There are so many styles of striking and grappling, along with well known camps to the ufc lets introduce them into this game and have each fighter and CAF be like snowflakes.
