I would like to know this too.
DO you have to defend his style?? or just kick his ass without taking to much damage?
The most I got was like 37. I havent played to much career though to busy with online.

Ive got like 110 when I knocked him out a couple times. Best trick I found was make your guy a kick boxer and power his kicks right up then head kick the crap out of your sparring partner to earn lots of points that or take him down and just ground and pound from half guard.

you get points for various things. you get points for doing damage, but your big time points come from KO's, submissions... then reversals/blocks (anti-takedown) and takedowns.... doing a bunch of ground transitions = waste. either beat him into a pulp or counter everything he has. i find that going for submissions is a waste because you spend so much time with the animation trying to get it done that you waste pummelling time.
try to land big hits, get into full mount, use slams, takedowns, reversals. i get anywhere between 100-180 each session this way.

Ah good advice that. I was sort of wondering about whether or not damaging your trainer made a difference. The most i've ever got was 49 :/

As I started to get better, later in the career mode I was getting 110 on average.
150 is around my best, something like that.
I was a very good Judo fighter with not bad boxing. I would hit him with some shots, take him down. mount him and smash him in the face, in the last 15 seconds go for a submission although I am not sure if the sub attempt gave me any points.

It does give you a few for attempting and more for finishing, even gives you somewhere in the middle for 'almost' finishing a sub.

How do you get real people to be your sparring partner? I've only had made up guys so far.
