Looks exactly the same as the first game. Robotic with mediocre graphics. only new thing i noticed was a few fighters (kimbo, dos santos, sodallah). thq is known for putting out the same game the next year with just a few new added things. everyone's getting there hopes up for disappointment. its only going to sell because of kimbo. and thats sad. very very sad for the mma world when a street fighter who has a shitty knee is your only big draw while the talented fighters are injured or on the undercard so kimbo can have a spot on the maincard so people can watch him circle around. yay ufc.

yep, when i first saw the teaser i thought it looked exactly the same. there better be alot of new stuff added to the gameplay because if not i really don't see how they'll compete with EA MMA because the teaser for that game looked lightyears better than both games atm.

Looks like it plays entirely different if you look closely.
The strikes are completely different, and they look a lot more satisfying. There is dipping and dodging going on, which wasn't in the last game. Also, I see that the cage is a factor now, Mir impacted it when he was being taken down. PLUS I saw an anaconda choke, and an upside down armbar. I wish they would put out more facts about the game, I'm excited for any MMA videogame. The last UFC was great, but if you have a keen eye for THQ, it looked kind of goofy, not nearly enough customization, and the menus are slow and ugly. But to be mad about it is pretty silly. PLUS, PLUS, Anderson is standing southpawwwwwwwwwwww. :) |
sweet i cant wait!

I will definitely be getting this new game though. They need to make something on Xbox live where you can download new fighters and new stuff like other games have! |
I would love customation following the smackdown vs raw system with create a moveset
|
It may be just me, but I am really into the extra's and not just the gameplay. For example I would LOVE to be able to customize the banner behind your fighter when he is being introduced. I would love entrances and post fight extras. I would also love to be able to already be referred to as a boxer or a wrestler vice having to spend most of the career being referred to as a mixed martial artist until i get my skill way up.
Other improvements are things that Fight Night has. I would like my guy to age as the years go on. I would also like to retire whenever I want. Like Fight Night lets you play forever, it just becomes difficult to win because your skills start going down. And then in the play now your fighters rating will stick when he was at his peak in career. What can I say I am a sucker for extras in games. I have always enjoyed lots of customization and cutscenes, etc... |
I feel the exact same in that way man. I HATE not being able to choose my own face-off, and celebrations. Even the create-a-character was really weak compared to games like Fight Night. And just because you pick a certain style, doesn't mean you can do anything! We need to choose special moves and techniques!
So yeah, I'm a nerd too. |
