I decided to toss this thread up so we can see what each other think about the demo. I am currently downloading it (I think it was released around 7am ET). So excited!

So after you've played, tell us what you think about the gameplay, any sick moments, anything!

I like it for the most part. Easy controls and let me say the blood is damn near perfect. I was playing as Overeem and both Lashley and I were smeared with blood (body, trunks, mat). Very authentic.

Im curious about this game, lemme know how it is.

but it seems the demo isnt out for PS3 yet. It's almost 6.30pm ET dammit, why cant they update their store quicker.

I too looked for it on my PS3 but got restless and downloaded it on my 360.

I've had a bunch of fights, but have yet to see ANY blood...I'm serious.

It seems to only happen to me when I am in guard and getting fists thrown down on me. And PSN always updates later in the evening I believe.

I'm glad you don't have to "shine" the hell out of your analog to do submission offense/defense. I hated that on UFC (and my controller did too, the covers are gone), and EA probably were trying to improve on it themselves.

This game is way better than the UFC game, but isn't quite as good in some aspects.

Like, there's no commentary? It's just a demo so that might be added in the real game, but.. felt very plain playing without commentary.

Striking is also extremely simple and you could rock your oppenent from the get go easily by landing 3-4 punches. Each round I had him rocked and on the ground within 15 secs, the striking has a lot to be desiered unless they improve it (I was playing on medium difficulty).

It has the far better ground game, though, and the graphics are better and the animations make me feel a lot more like I'm playing an MMA game, where as UFC made me feel like I was playing your average fighter.

So, I say this game is better than the UFC game except for the striking, and lack of commentary (which will be fixed I'm sure in the real game).
