UFC Undisputed 2009 or 2010?
I'm buying a Xbox 360 and I just want to know which game is most popular online right now? Thanks.

To answer your question, 2010 is definitely more popular purely because it's newer. That being said, the online is horrific and the game itself is awful.
Go buy EA MMA. |
Can you tell me specifically what makes 2010 a horrible game? I played a demo of it and it seemed like my guy would tap as soon as a submission was applied. I guess I could rent them both from blockbuster.

2010 is an awesome game. Yeah the online is horrible though.
Seriously, get 2010, and do not expect to get the KTFO achievement ;) |
Both games are fairly similar. There really was no reason for 2010 to come out so quickly. I would get 2010 over 2009.
I still haven't gotten the KTFO achievement either after 400 to 500 matches. |

Let me warn you by saying it has the worst online I've ever used. You'll be lucky if you ever find a match and when you do, it will probably disconnect midway through. When you actually find someone to fight, the matches are usually repetitive as it's basically a game of who gets the first takedown. Ground and pound to too strong and submissions are too easy to get so people just take you down as fast as they can. Stand up is nonexistent. And since THQ has no intentions of patching the game's flaws, you'll have to get used to them. |
I own '09, '10 & EA
Play online only on EA Play/played career only on '09 & EA But play tourney and title modes on '10 a million times  |
Double Post
Okay guys, thanks. I'll rent them both and find out for myself. I love the thought of being Fedor, though. I could always get 2009 and just scrounge around for games, too. There has to be some people still playing. I'll post back here with my Xbox Live gamer tag and get some games going with you guys.
I rented EA MMA and I have compiled a 6-13 online record. I'm learning. It's fun. I recommend EA MMA for all UFC Undisputed fans who are dissapointed with UFC Undisputed 2010. |
I liked 2010 a lot better than 2009, but I am definitely an EA MMA fan. I didn't like it at first, but it really grew on me. I was a huge Fight Night fan as well so I naturally liked the controls a lot more than UFC's.

I own all three and I have to say that EA dissappointed me in the range of moves you have available to your fighters, the fighters feel very similar. The positive is more the realism, submission system and the variety in upgrading your fighter in career mode.
Undisputed 2010 has more fighters, allows your to customize your fighter more, move set and appearance but feels like a WWE game at times. The camp system is great, but the rest of career mode feels like an excel sheet and is very monotonous. Going back and playing 09 after 10 feels like a joke. |
