Some comp ideas...feedback wanted/needed

The Rumble - an ongoing challenge where participants pick the winners and after each event the person who gets the least amount/ties for the least amount is eliminated until one player remains.

Face/Off - Two players pick from the same card only they cannot pick the same winner. Players would submit there picks in preference on who they think will win.

Over/Under - Each player submits an Over/Under question for an event
1 point for a right answer
2 points for getting a right answer as the minority
5 points if your the only person to get it right

I was also thinking of maybe a game with the official rankings. Each player picks say 10 fighters to fall off the official rankings and 10 fighters to become officially ranked and at the end of the year the person who gets the most right wins a prize.

So let me know if any of those games sounds interesting

The Rumble sounds interesting but would take FOREVER if a decent number of people signed up.

We usually have anywhere between 15-40 people sign up for a comp, so on the upper end of things it would take 40 whole events or 2+ years for the thing to finish! Most people would drop out due to sheer attrition and forgetting to send picks for one event.

I think it would be better if you shaved off a fraction of contestants each time, say the bottom 1/5th or 1/10th etc. That way it would have a guaranteed winner in 5 or 10 events.

If a large amount sign up then the odds are you'll lose a significant amount on each event with ties.

So 40 people sign up 5 people only get 4 fights correct their out.

Conversely we could get to a point where 9 players are left and 8 people get 10 fights correct one person gets 12 they win.

I think a Rumble would go for 10-14 events or about 3 a year.

Oh I see you meant however many tie at the bottom are gone, that's not as long then you're right. Sounds interesting, I'd be down for that.

As long the rules are clear at the start I'm (we the staff) are happy to Support any competition you want to run. I can also supply credit prizes or if a comp goes on a long time, even premium memberships in some instances.
