WWE’s McMahon Thinks Wrestling is “More Sophisticated” Than MMA

No -- mixed martial arts. "You really can't compete with that," he said of the rival pay per view attraction. "Why not deliver a more sophisticated product and not go to those extremes? If the audience wants those extremes, they know where to go and how to get it.” And if they want misogyny, bad acting, or below-syndication-level scriptwriting, they know where to get that, too.

this made me laugh out loud, seriously now folks is the WWE more "sophisticated" than mixed martial arts?
Sure the WWE was entertaining 10 years ago when we were half our age, but get your head out the clouds, how can you compare the fakest show on cable television to the realest sport in the world?

The majority fan base of both... is the same exact kind of person.
Minority fan base of MMA are intelligent, dedicated athletes.
The minority fan base of Pro Wrestling is... I dunno? Old people and kids?

In related news, Shane McMahon has stepped down from the WWE and is likely to start an MMA promotion. Wonder how that would turn out...
so obviously Vince's son disagrees.

I used to be a big wrestling fan as a kid and I recall them doing a story line where there porn star character Val Venus had an affair with the manager of some asian group of wrestlers, so these asian wrestlers kidnapped Venus and attempted to cut his penis off with a katana but they had layed placed Venus's penis on a cold stone chopping block so the shrinkage caused by this chopping block saved Venus from having his penis cut off. Yes... the very picture of sophistication.

What a moron. When I see a man tear his shirt apart or when I see a steroid ridden mofo suddenly jump up from being knocked out and choke slam a guy, I think sophistication, yeah right.  |
