Knee conditioning?

I know about kicking banana trees to toughen your legs, and using wet towel slaps to help deaden nerves in your shin. But can anyone help with knee conditioning? I can hit the heavy pad np (the pad the other guy holds) but when I knee the heavy bags its quite painful. Any tips on toughening up those knees?

It probably hurts on the Heavy Bag because your skin is rubbering upwards against the coarse material.

We use heavy bags for knees too and it isn't the skin that hurts. It leaves welps on my knees and hurts like hell after you get that big welp on the side and keep kneeing for 10 min. My shins are pretty much conditioned now but my knees are killing me on the heavy bags. I'm sure after time they condition too like the shins. I hope
