Was just at an awesome fight night

Evolution XI in Brisbane had 7 bouts which were almost all main event calibre bouts. All full thai rules.

This included Soren Mongkongthon who destroyed his Thai opponent just days before he was to enter the contender house (said he didnt want to sustain any damage etc.).... He didn't, he knocked him out with body punches in the 2nd round.

17 y.o Michael Thompson narrowly lost to his useful Thai opponent on points, but looks to be one for the future. He has lightning hands and great clinch for someone that young.

The highlight of the night was the return of K1 scandinavia HW champion Nathan 'Carnage' Corbett. He's down to LHW now and looked great against a very tough slovakian. He is an absolute beast, his elbows are scary.

I believe Australia has the most talent per capita in the world right now. JWP, Macfie, Slowinski, Makinnon, Tramsek to name a few, can mix it up with just about anyone, especially with full thai rules.

Bring on Contender Asia!
