Looking for Muay Thai/MMA Gym in San Francisco

Hey everyone:

I'm currently looking for a muay thai and mma gym in San Francisco, CA, primarily to get back into shape, but with the possiblity of training for an amateur bout or smoker in the future.

I've recently tried a month at Fight and Fitness. Great guys, great gym, but I'm not sure if I'm learning enough (albeit, I do understand that you have to crawl before you walk, and build up stamina to learn advanced techniques). Also, I met someowne who is training elsewhere (don't remember where), and he said that FNF did not do so well at a local smoker. Of course, i don't know if the guy is for real, but it's got me thinking...

I would like your opinions about what would be the best place to train muay thai and mma in San Francisco - which has the best trainers, facilities, pricing, etc. I just want to know that I will be getting the most for my investment.

Also, if anyone can suggest a good karate school in SF, I may be open to that. My favorite MMA guy right now is Machida, and i really like his evasive style.

Your comments and thoughts are appreciated. Thank you.
