Philly Shell in Kickboxing

Philly Shell is used in boxing by Floyd Mayweather and James Tooney. It is a very defensive blocking method.

I was wondering what you all think about using it in kickboxing?

For those who don't know the Philly Shell here are 2 videos.

The Philly shell is rather complicated to use and I don't think it would hold up well against kicks.

I had gone through the post. Some of the players will use this Philly Shell in Kick boxing. The game was a lot of parrying and slipping, the use of this may produce better results. Most of them uses this for better results and I would like to know more details regarding this as I wish to join in the kick boxing academy near here.
