Anyone think that the UFC needs to find a way to make more concessions and make co-promotions. I mean, Fedor's camp is very agreeable to Fedor fighting in the UFC except that they want Fedor to deal directly with M-1 while M-1 will only agree if they have some co-promotion.
I am not suggesting that the UFC and M-1 equally share the profits and everything. However, what the UFC offered Fedor and M-1 last time was ridiculous: Fedor will be allowed to compete in ***** as well as wear the M-1 logo on his shorts. I am sure he'd wear M-1 on his shorts regardless. I am sure out there, there are some things the UFC can make concessions on if they are to come to an agreement.
For example, instead of titling the ppv, UFC/M-1 1XX (which is over-the-top), they could add the M-1 logo to the mat akin to a sponsor (obviously not in the centre) on ppv's when Fedor fights. Another thing they could do is allow M-1 to control the production and collect most of the profit within Russia when Fedor fights. Third, they could loan M-1 some fighters who may need more experience or are on a losing streak but not necessarily on the chopping block (ex. they allowed Houston Alexander to fight elsewhere). Fourth, they could just buy M-1 for Fedor and a few other fighters, if needed.
Any other suggestion for negotiating Fedor to finally fight in the UFC?
