Thoughts ???

Now this fight has been confirmed it will be interesting to see where Koscheck is nowadays. You would suspect a Sanchez win here...

Surely if Diego wins this he MUST get a title shot against GSP....or maybe Serra (not likely).

In the mold of the Forrest V Stephan fight...TUF V TUF.

April 7 in texas.

first off, he might not win. kos is getting alot better. but i do think deigo would be able to pull it out.

secondly, it really looks as though dana is giving hughes a rematch here in the future. so deigo might have to fight hughes to get to GSP or just wait in line till GSP vs Hughes III happens.

man how many times can the ufc give diego the shaft. if they give hughes a rematch before diego gets a shot, thats pathetic. btw yes diego will crush koscheck. i wanna see diego vs hughes, then the winner against gsp. so basically i wanna see deigo vs gsp. i think hughes is fighting lytle because he needs to improve his stand up before facing gsp again, and for him, lytle is a challenge in the stand up department. hughes doesnt wanna get embarrased by gsp again, and he knows he would if he doesnt improve drastically.

Koscheck will put up a reasonable fight, he could even win but imo Sanchez will do it via ground and pound as i would imagine he is getting pissed that he has had to wait for this long after fighting so many decent opponents for a title shot and then gets Koscheck put in front of him who has done nothing to warrant a fight between them.

I believe that Diego will be waiting for Kos to shoot and catch him with a knee. After that flying knee Diego gave Joe Riggs I have no reason to believe he lacks the skills to deliver a knee or a well timed punch when Kos shoots. I like Kos and I am not saying he isnt skilled but I believe Diego is exceptionaly good.

I think Diego wanted this fight, to A shut Kos up and B get in another fight before he gets a title shot. I believe he stated when Rogan asked him that he wanted another fight before fighting the champ. I don't think Diego will fight Hughes unless Hughes takes his belt back from GSP.

Koscheck and Hughes are the types I could see giving Diego problems. This should be an interesting fight, but I would put my money on Diego.

Snooze fest, this should make for a very exciting dry humping match and Sanchez will win again by decision.... It's very difficult to watch two unexperienced and akward strikers learn how fight stand-up while defending the shoot, granted they both have a great "SHOT" but this alone dont make them great MMA. They are still learning and are good fighters BUT let them get into the cage with accomplished strikers like Penn or GSP THEN we can see how good they really are:)

will be an interesting fight with both of them superb wrestlers. kos has good standup, but so does diego (caught riggs with the hook). kos looks more athletic but diego is coming out of jacksons camp and should do well

Hope you are talking about Kos only. Diego has proved himself worthy to fight Penn and GSP. As far as this being a Snooze Fest......total unfounded crazy talk. (Diego Sanchez is fighting) :)

I agree, most of Diego's fights have been very exciting but Kos on the other hand has been pretty blah, some decent moments but for the most part very average.

i want sanchez to TKO or submit this guy, i didnt like kos on the show, and now, well im just not too concerned with him, he's a great wrestler, who knwos tho, maybe he might destroy diego, but i want diego to win so that way those 2 aint gotta fight again if diego wins, that way diego can go on to face hughes or GSP, i know alotta ppl want to see him face at least one of the top 3 WW's

i wouldnt be surprised if diego got a title shot before hughes, i still consider matt a huge threat, i dont care if GSP destroys him again, he's still one of the best ww's, i mean he was #1 for a long time, he could easily win the 3rd match against GSP, witht hat said, i still wanna see another TKO/KO over hughes

After that fight with Joslin(who btw has awsome stand-up) I would say Kos' striking is sub-par at best. It seems to be getting better since TUF 1, but isn't ready for any of the top 3. He goes back to wrestling mode very quickly and we all know what happens after that. At least none of his competitors will ever get cold.

Ok for starters, I thought you might just be the president of the Diego Sanchez fan club when you said he would crush Koscheck. Koscheck is NATIONAL CHAMPION wrestler. The rest of his game has come so far since the show. Before the show, he'd never fought in MMA, now he's arguably a top 5 WW. Then, you said the winner of Hughes and Sanchez would be Sanchez. I think you need to check into rehab immediately. You obviously have a substance abuse problem. There is no way Diego could beat Hughes right now. Here's how I see it. Koscheck vs. Sanchez, Hughes vs. GSP. Winner of each fights each other.
