Rashad's got an excellent chin. He's been kneed to the face himself by guys who are 6,6 and 260lbs (Brad Imes) head kicked to the head, and didn't even drop and it took Machida about over 20 of his hardest punches to KO him. You seem to forget that despite his flaws, Thiago Silva has VERY heavy hands. There is a reason why most of his wins are via KO. **** sakes, now everybody's on the 'Rashad sucks' bandwagon even though he executed a wonderful game plan and got a solid win.

Before this fight I would have predicted Rashad. But he didn't do enough to really claim the win. Sure he won two rounds but that was through Silva's incompetence. Rashad will need to be more adventurous standing up and be more aggressive on the ground against Rampage. I think he's got it in him, but so hope the real Rashad shows up

That was the real rashad and unfortunately his pride, heart or whatever you call it has shortened his career right before our eyes..Look at his face he looks like a seasoned boxer. The guy fought at HW and had to endure heavy punches from guys 3x his size with 2x his reach. It was accumulating but he could still function normally because he had never been unconscious before..But the real kicker was the brutal KO to machida which as we now see has made him more susceptible to getting rocked..He should have stayed down after the 1st time machida clipped him but he stood back up like some prideful never say die warrior..And now the damage is done..

You say rashad didnt convince you (that he is ready for quinton) in this fight but I felt the exact same way about rampage (not being ready for rashad) after jardine..Jardine has a weaker chin than rashad and isnt as agile and rampage still couldnt put him away..In fact even though rampage won it wasnt emphatic, ole gatekeeper jardine actually took the fight to him..Whats to stop Greg jackson from imploring rashad to stay on the periphery doing leg kicks against the plodding flat footed target that is bound to have bad cardio..

Like i said Rashad is great fighter, good wrestler but has no chin its been proven guy like Rampage and tito show that is you have a big head its hard to knock you out and don't give me the wanderlei fight because anybody who takes 22 knees should be knock-out lol.....:bye02:

yea there is no way that rashad will be able to man handle like he did to thiago... ffs rashad apparently barely cut any weight to make 205, he was just the stronger man...

i've always said rashad was overrated and would get dummied by rampage but all the bandwagoners are like pmgsdsdaf@@#@!!# rashad is sooo good!

rampage is better than him in every aspect except he might be a little slower

rampage is a boss:)

I think rashad has a great chin, yes he gets rock but no one has really been able to put him away except mcahida. Evans is more versititle than page, but page is more experenced and smarter. I see rampage taking this fight unless evans fights smart and don'tlet his head get int the way.

Maybe he will utilize that black belt in bjj to take Page down and sub him with a triangle choke. :confused02:

If Silva wasn't gassed, he would have sealed the deal. He can thank his wrestling skills for taking Silva down at will and wearing him down, not his good chin.

If rasha utilized his wresting well against thiago therefore he clearly was the winner against thiago silva..

wtf was thiago doing, just because him and anderson siva share the last name doesn't mean you can do dat doggy
I am not a fan of taking an opponent down, regardless of how many times, and not capitalizing on it at all. That being said, with the current scoring criteria, he managed aggressiveness and Octagon control for two solid rounds giving him the win. As far as 'dat doggy' it was the only chance Silva had, to bait Evans into a slug match, and it almost worked. Thiago needs to work on cardio and the sprawl. He does that well and a rematch if we ever see one goes much different.

So if your saying Rashad has a great chin then Shogun must have a "Amazing Chin" lucky punches don't count for sorry chins this is MMA its get "knocked out or be knocked out" or even submitted at times too lol ... but still thats no excuess!!
No question shogun has an amazing chin, but u can't debate evan's chin, dude has never been ko (except mchida) but has been rocked many times. In my books he has a great chin unlike guys who have been rocked and it was lights out.

Pretty sure the only times we've seen Rashad get tagged clean is in the Machida fight and tonight against Silva. I'm not saying Rashad has no chin, Silva caught him flush with a big right hand and although wobbled, survived and covered well.

That said, Rampage is still going to take him out.

After all the sit talking between Rampage and Rashad do you really think Rampage would take his training camp lightly??????

Rampage has a lot to prove with a victory over Rashad. And him beating Rashad would also make Rampage the winner in their little "I would Knock you the F#uk out" trash talk they did between each other during TUF 10.

When has Rampage ever showed up for a fight out of shape recently?????

He never has is the answer.

So why would he do it vs Rashad?

I feel foolish even getting into the argument. Rashad would not come in with the same gameplan that he did for thiago against Rampage. He might test it out and see if he could take Page down but it will wear him out trying to hold Rampage down. Honestly i see both fighters just wanting that one punch knock out and if that happens page might win by brute force. Now if Rashad keeps his head cool and plays it smart his boxing and speed are so much better than Rampage's it really is not even funny. That could be a point win for rashad through just more strikes.

Silva and Rampage are two different fighters... in almost every way. His gameplan would be differnt. Plus, he dominated that whole fight until that one punch that stumbled him.

He would have a solid shot against Rampage IMO. Especially since Rampage can't get his head in the fight game. Too busy being hollywood.

if rampage never took time out to shoot that movie i would have been certain rampage would win. with all that time off though, how is it going to affect him. with what rashad shown last night i have no doubt an in shape rampage would handle him.

Rampage would demolish Evans in a heart beat. Evans didn't impress me at all in the Silva fight, sure he had nice takedowns but he was getting handled on the feet. Rampage would easily KO Evans with ease.

Agreed once again, Evens never impressed anybody there's no way, we all already knew he could wrestle, and that's it. Silva picked him apart standing, so Rampage DEFFINITLY will and Rampage probley has more power then Silva. The only thing that kept Rashad in the fight were the takedowns over and over, Rampage will stuff ATLEAST 50% of those, that's 50% longer the fight will be standing.. GG Rashad

imho, I think it depends on 2 factors.. Is Rampage back in fight mentality or movie star status? If Rampage comes thinking he'll win because he's now a big movie star Rashad will mentaly break him.. Other than that I really can't see Rashad winning especially after what Thiago Silva did to him last night.. Rampage has better boxing than Silva & just about as much or more power plus good wrestling. Rashad is going to have to play some crazy as mind games with Rampage first in order to distract him off point prfight. Because I'm sure if Rampage watched the fight last night he's laughing his ass off at how Rashad called him out after almost having been knocked out.
