Now, the usual disclaimer: The figures do not include deductions for items such as insurance, licenses and taxes. Additionally, the figures do not include money paid by sponsors, which can oftentimes be a substantial portion of a fighter's income. They also do not include any other "locker room" or special bonuses the UFC oftentimes pays.

For example, as discussed above, the figures above do not include the UFC's traditional "fight night" bonuses. The UFC 108 bonuses were worth $50,000 and awarded to Daley (Knockout of the Night), Miller (Submission of the Night), and Stout and Joe Lauzon (Fight of the Night).

In other words, the above salary figures are simply base salaries reported to the commission and do not reflect entire compensation packages for the event.

Math is not your strongest subject in school is it?

And really at the end of the day, the card was not much better (as far a name power) than a fight night, so Rashad, the biggest name on the card, should be getting paid the most!

Only 55 k for thiago? thats a little harsh.

and no way does J lauzon deserve fight of the night. Me and Georges were not imbressed by his performance. Come on he basically curled up into a ball every time stout would attack him and Stout didnt impress me too much either because of his inabiliy to finish Joe.

geez, i bet james toney still makes more money fighting than all of these guys. 375k is serious bank? i guess if you compare it to working at mickey d's, but when yoiu consider the likes of floyd mayweather or manny paquio (sp), these guys are still making mickey d money. i don't care about sponsors and all that other bullshit, these guys make nothing for literally risking their health if not their lives.

i hope one day they all make big dollars. i have nothing against the fighters, they're the ones with all the heart and who are putting everything on the line. i also know all boxers don't make a million, that makes it ok for the ufc to underpay? rashad evans is a top fighter in the ufc, if he gets that 4 times a year it's 1.5 million. you think floyd mayweather will fight 4 times a year for 1.5 mil? or manny paquio (sp)? i bet even oscar de la hoya would laugh at that and he's gotten his ass kicked the last few times he's fought. you think any top flight boxer will get in the ring for 375k? middle of the road, of course, but not the top guys. the problem as i see it, not that it means anything, is that all fight promoters are the same. you fighters put it all out there, we'll take all the money and let some trickle down to you.
