I have came a long way this year to getting in better shape (weight loss, lifting weights) and thought I was ready for the gym floor.
My first boxing class was one on one and the instructor pushed me but not beyond my limits. The second class was brutal no less then 5 times I had to stop to avoid passing out or getting sick. I went as hard as I could. I don't feel judged but I want to improve. After class one of the students told me to pace myself, probably a good idea.
My question: Should I start a training program outside of the gym or just spend more time in the gym?
An optional question. How do you guys feel about a 40 year old fatty that can't keep up in class but giving it his all?
