according to dana white Mir vs Cain is still going ahead and Jds will still defend title. Whats going on here? Dana according to mma torch has stated that Mir vs Cain will happen and neither of them will be taking overeem's place so who's getting the title shot?

what the **** has Werdum done in the UFC?

last time I checked ol' "wiggle ears" got knocked the **** out by a JDS uppercut. What would be different this time?

I'm not saying Hunt deserves the fight, I'm saying that it would be an interesting fight given Hunt's legendary chin and his heavy hands.

Werdum does nothing for me. I'd honestly rather see Henderson step in and take that fight. Werdum defeats Nelson and gets a title shot, yet Hunt, who has wins over Rothwell and Kongo, would be a ludicrous choice? What Hunt would lack on the ground with JDS, Fabricio will lack on the feet, so you tell me who has a shorter night.

That said, I am still about earning your shots, meaning neither man should face JDS right now. But I agree, we're to a point where there aren't many options. I'm not certain who Dana and company have in mind, but I'd be a heck of a lot more excited to see Hunt fight over Werdum. Fabricio vs. Mir... now there's a fight I'd actually be interested in.

Dana needs to quit jerking us around and announce the main event already. Unless they're waiting on Overeem to apply for a license. Would that be cutting it close? I'm not certain where the application date falls in relation to the PPV.

Werdum is already fighting Russow in Brazil, not too sure he'd want to trade fighting in his home country for anything but a title shot.

Although DW said Mir vs Cain is still happening, he was short on specifics. Notice how he didn't say when, where, or what UFC event it was happening at.

As for Werdum, I just don't see this fight happening. I don't know the filming schedule for TUF Brazil, but I assume they are still filming there. His schedule might be an issue. Who knows for sure?

I have: Mir>Henderson>Cormier>Cain>Werdum.............Hunt as the order for replacement fighters.

Dana will soon announce that Randy Couture is coming out of retirement for an instant shot at the Heavy Weight title even though he's coming off a devastating knockout at LHW....Sound familiar?

How funny would that shit be lol. No idea what they're gonna do with this card but it's got me reinvigorated anyways.

I really only seeing it be Mir or Hunt. Werdum, Nelson and Cain already lost to JDS. Cormier and Barnett are fighting next month, Bigfoot, Mitrione, and Kongo are coming off losses, Brock is in the WWE and coming off 2 losses, and there is no way in hell I see Fedor coming in and getting a title shot. How crazy would it be if they threw in Lesnar though lol. I know it would never happen.

is this for real? i thought it was already announced that mir was getting the shot?

both mir and hunt are on 3 fight win streaks... i cant complain with either fight i would actually rather see hunt in there but i thought it was decided..

Overeem has single single handedly cause a whirlpool of confusion to the HW division.

Now, we have to waiting till his hearing on April 14. But meanwhile, what does Mir, Velasquez and JDS need to do? I'm sure their training camp will be affected.

JDS has been training for a Kick boxer in Overeem. But should the rumored Mir really step up, that is a complete different style of fighter he need to train for. He would have to focus more on TDD and defensive BJJ.

Same thing for Mir. So is he going to train for a Boxer in JDS, or a wrestler with decent striking in Velasquez?

Hopefully, Dana will make the decision soon not only for us, the fans. But also for all affected fighters (which include Roy, Big foot according the the rumors flying around). who will have their training camp affected should the change of opponent really occurs.

Does Hunt even have a great chin anymore? He was knocked out by a middleweight in 18 seconds. Probably one of Melvin Manhoefs biggest MMA wins.

Although when Hunt fought Overeem, he looked alright for the short time it was on the feet. I was going to say he dropped Overeem, but after watching the fight video, it looked like Overeem got caught a little but the shove from Hunt was what put him on his back.

Dos Santos vs. Hunt would be kind of fun, but I see Dos Santos knocking him out if they fought.
