Anyone think Bones/Rashad lines messed up?

Bones is my favorite fighter and I hate Rashad, but does anyone else think the lines are messed up? I mean someone with one loss and some impressive wins on their resume at a (generally around) +400? Surely that seems like a good bet, no?

Disagree.

It might have something to do with Machida knocking Evan's head off, and Jones choking Machida to death. Or Rampage knocking Evans silly, and Jones treating Rampage like a child wrestling with dad.

I don't agree with the odds. But to say it is simply bandwagon is just wrong. Jones has finished guys who finished or almost finished Rashad. It really is as simple as that and that's why he is so overwhelmingly favored.

MMA math doesn't always work. Jones has shown no weakness. Rashad has. It has nothing to do with bandwagon.

Either Way...

Love both fighters... Personally I am going with Jones because he finighes fights and I feel Rashad will try to run out the clock after getting a few hits in. Jones won't let that happen, but hopefully all the training Rashad did with Jones will make it an impressive fight.:thumb03:

The thing with a betting line is it's less on who could win and more on who you are willing to bet on. Rashad fans may talk him up and claim he's going to win but when it comes to putting their money where their mouth is they aren't doing it.

What the hell is the point in mentioning Machida? Why go there? That was 3 years ago ffs and you're STILL going to bring that up? Honestly, I expected from you.

I was referring to the people who pay a lot of money on the favourite as punks.
Why go there? Because it happened? The Rampage fight was only a year later. Where is the cut off point for fights being mentioned? Are we only allowed to mention things that put Rashad in a good light?

I also wasn't the first to bring up Machida in this thread.

Yeah alright no need to get facety, yeah?

Just don't mention the Machida fight, that has no relevance. The Machida that fought Jones is different to the Machida that fought Rashad back in 2009. The Rampage that fought Rashad was better than the one Jones fought too

Look at your first reply to me, and you're saying I'm 'facety' ? ... Come on man. You can't get all riled up when a fight gets brought up.

How was the Machida that fought Jones different? Yes, he was a bit shakey after the KO loss to Shogun in his match with Rampage, but Machida looked DAMN good in the first round against Jones. Just like he looked amazing against Rashad.

Rampage hasn't looked good in years, but I think he looked far better against Jones than he did against Evans, and with that, he nearly finished Evans.
No, it doesn't work that way KRY and you know that. You brought up the fight to be spiteful, admit it.

The Machida that fought Jones had that mystique and aura that had long disappeared after the 3 consecutive losses to Shogun and Rampage. Before those fights, that mystique contributed to his success greatly. Look at the interviews prior to Rashad vs Machida. Rashad was paid WAY too many compliments and just respected him far too much than he should have, and it showed in their fight. Jones used his wrestling to eventually beat Machida, so he basically corrected Rashad's mistake, that's all.

No, I brought up the fight to point out that everything isn't roses when it comes to Evans like you're making it out to be. I didn't even know a fight could be brought up to be spiteful, unless I was bringing it up to Rashad himself. Which I wouldn't, because I'm not an idiot.

Evan's gets far too complacent in fights. Against Silva, and Rampage. If he does that against Jones he WILL get finished. Can you really imagine Jones just watching Evans wobble about like Silva did, or miss a massive flurry of punches like Rampage did when Evans was on queer street?

You said it yourself, Rashad made a mistake against Machida by not using his skills to his advantage. He makes mistakes a lot. When was the last time Jones made a mistake that cost him the fight, or nearly cost him the fight? The 12-6 elbows against Hamill?

Taking the piss now. Whatever man, it was the way you wrote it that I didn't like most of all, but whatever man, if that's how you want to act like that, then cool. That's cool. Cool.
Taking the piss? For having views that differ to yours? I remember when we could debate fights quite easily, no matter the different stances we took. I'm not the one that got annoyed when a simple fight was brought up. I'll leave you to it. Enjoy the fight Saturday night.
