UFC on FUEL TV 6: Yasuhiro Urushitani vs John Lineker

Round 1 - Referee Steve Percival in the cage. Lineker with an early low kick and quick front kick. Urushitani answers high but just misses. Lineker rushes forward with punches, but Urushitani stays at distance. Both look quick to open, and Urushitani is starting to answer back as Lineker controls the center and digs to the body. Right hand from Lineker down the pipe. Two minutes in. Southpaw Urushitani is getting a good rhythm and lands a few knees to the body. Lineker continues to control the center and lands two crisp punches to the jaw. Urushitani fakes a spin move, and Lineker makes him pay with more punches to the head and body as the crowd comes alive. Final minute of first. Both fighters measuring their shots. Lineker with a left hand that drops his opponent. Urushitani scrambles up, and Lineker slips as he tries to capitalize. Round ends, and crowd shows their approval. Fun first round, and MMAjunkie.com sees it for Lineker, 10-9, in a close one.

Round 2 - Lineker with an early low kick and spinning kick to the ribs. Urushitani looks unfazed and continues to retreat and look for opportunities. He fakes a shot and scrambles away from a counter. Lineker digs twice to the body and then comes up top with a nice left hand. Chants of "Brazil" fill the arena in Macau, a former Portuguese colony. Urushitani with a nice kick to the body, but he's overwhelmed with Lineker's rapid-fire punches, as he rifles off lefts and right to every level. Halfway mark, and Urushitani scrambles away and resets. Urushitani knee just short, and Lineker comes over the top. Urushitani slips as he pulls away from another Lineker body shot. Urushitani gets a brief rest after an eye poke, but he's back in Lineker's fire as soon as they restart. Lead hook for Lineker continues to be a nice weapon. Low kicks traded, but Lineker is adding punches over the top and really slashing the legs rather than the slapping blows of his opponent. Lineker has found his flow, and he takes the second on the MMAjunkie.com card, 10-9.

Round 3 - Lineker again the aggressor, but Urushitani willing to trade. Lineker lands a crisp two-punch combination that puts his opponent on the floor. Urushitani somehow pops right back to his feet, but his left cheek immediately swells from the blows. Lineker is on fire. Urushitani fakes a few more knees and makes an attempt at the legs, but he s baffled right now. Two more straight punches from Lineker touch the chin. Lead hook scores, as well. Two minutes into the final round. Credit to Urushitani for his toughness, but Lineker is picking him apart. High kick from Urushitani grazes the chin. Leaping knee just misses, and Lineker explodes. Urushitani turns to cover and retreat, and Lineker just absolutely peppers him as he gives chase. Pace settles again as Urushitani looks for a comeback. He does find his opponent's chin from the outside, but Lineker pushes through and pounds his foe's face in the clinch as he drives through for a takedown. Final minute. Urushitani with blood trickling down his face. He misses with a flying knee. He's definitely looking for the miracle, but Lineker is just too much. Crowd comes alive in the final 10 seconds, and the fight ends to great applause. MMAjunkie.com gives the final round to Lineker, 10-9, and awards him the fight 30-27. Another fun one in Macau.
