Why doesn't the UFC schedule their events better?

Why?

Just looking at what we have now. We had UFC at December 29th. 20 days later, UFC 80, but we have UFN 13 four days after that and UFC 81 on February 2nd. So basically we have 3 events in 2 weeks, and then we have to wait a whole month for the next one.

Why don't they space the events a little more?

The Fight Nights are essentially promotions for the PPVs. The upcoming UFN is going to be filled with in-show promos and ad spots for the Superbowl Saturday UFC81.

Beyond that, UFC has to fit its schedule around the schedules of the athletic commissions and venues. It's not completely up to them.

Well put.
They have to schedule, get things approved. They do PPV's on saturdays so they can only rent out venues on certain dates.
There is a lot more to it than one might think.

Isn't The UFC is being stupid with their PPV Dates?

I mean 80 and 81's alright, but then you got a month before anything else, is their even a fight night between that? AND WTF is with 83 being a week after that? I mean after the first week of march you only got 2 PPV's til june.
1-Can someone tell me why this isn't stupid.
2-I know silva and evans is 85, but are there any rumors for 84?

I kind of like it how they occasionally have a bunch then none for almost a month. During the time of having a lot of events, I can be more "into" it and dedicated to watching them. Then I can have some time off to watch and or attend other sporting events. If there were events every two weeks, I would probably have to miss more than I do if they have a bunch in a row and then have a few weeks off.

i'd like it if they had a ufc event every 3 weeks, and a fight night inbetween every other ppv. that way you never have to wait long between each ppv.
