Spoiler

Is it just me or is this kind of really shitty?

Amir should not be fighting the guy he beat to get into the finale...in the finale! In know they did this the fairest way possible, but it still seems really crappy.

Also, I think the decision was crap. The only reason CB won was because of the takedowns which he did nothing with. I thought you had to do something with a takedown for it to really be worth something.

I thought round 1 was obviously Tim's, round 2 goes to CB simply for the knock down, and round 3 I had Tim all the way. Yeah, he got taken down a couple of times, but he got back up fairly quickly and CB did practically nothing while on top. Garbage..

Furthermore, did anyone else find it to be a pu**y move to go for a takedown with 3 seconds left? I know he was trying to steal the round, but it's just crap.

Also, what the hell was up with Steve Mazz? He let CB stand there over Tim, doing nothing, and forced Tim to eat shots getting himself up. Steve should have stepped in and stood Tim up since CB obviously had no plans of diving in guard or doing anything worth a damn. With every fight I see him ref, Steve shows why he is the worst ref in MMA.

Garbage.

I can't wait to watch CB hold Amir down for 15 minutes like he tried to do in their first fight...

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..............

the UFC judges put far too much weight on takedowns.

Ok guys, I'm done venting. Back to the beer :)

I totally agree with (almost) everything you say but those TD's were the most significant things to happen in the 3rd which at the end of the day is what the judges are looking for.

Either way.......what the hell was Tim doing standing with CB anyway? Why didn't he go for the TD more often & work his BJJ from the top since that's his speciality!??!

I agree. I've never seen anyone that supposedly has good BJJ look worse off his back.

It was ridiculous.

He was ripe for a triangle a couple of times. Shit, Amir pulled more submissions against him and he's still technically an amateur.

I also think Tim should have won the decision. He won the stand-up battle, (although very close), and he got up every time CB took him down. He also controlled the pace of the fight. He was the underdog though and in those types of situations the underdog has to win decidedly or else the decision always goes to the "favorite". I don't necessarily think he deserves to be so, but for whatever reason CB is Dana's boy and was the obvious favorite for this fight.

Both fighters were exhausted. After all, they only had 3 weeks to train for the fight.

I concur with just about everything stated here. Tim may have won the standup but damn CB's standup REALLY improved over those three weeks between the fight with Amir and when he fought Tim. He actually moved, and led with a leg kicks to soften and divert, like he actually got some kickboxing instruction. I do as much as I hate to have CB by SD. I wish Tim would have listened to his corner more. CB was done, gassed to his limit and Tim couldn't capitalize.

I agree with this 100%. However, I couldn't really think of any other way to do this for I agree with Dana's decision to teach JT a lesson. Maybe not even showing the incident on TUF?

I know. It's funny. He does something stupid, lets make him more of a reality tv-celebrity by showing him being a party animal. Yeah, that will make sure people don't associate him with the UFC.

Yeah, they kicked him off the show, but the damage is done by showing him doing that stuff on a UFC sponsored reality show.

I scored the fight for CB just because I knew how the UFC works.

He almost did the same thing to Amir, I remember watching their fight and I was wondering why it wasn't getting stood up when CB was just laying in his guard not trying to work for position and his ground and pound was slow and sloppy. It seems like the referee was content with letting CB win a "hard fought" decision. I was getting angry to say the least.

I'm so glad Amir managed to get that arm bar in the third round.

Let's just pray to god that sh*t ass Steve Mazz is not the ref in their finale fight.

I don't want to see anymore CB "Lay-N-Pray" Dolloway.

The guy looks good when he's far superior to his opponent, but when his opponent has a decent guard in any way, he has nothing and is content to lay there and win based on Takedowns.
