I like Vitors honesty.

he should add that dirty dan beat him like he was his daddy, so really he should be 3rd in line (of course if Dan resigns)

Gotta love Vitor, and to me it was never about who deserves it more right now, because out of the 3 (Hendo, Vitor and Nate) Silva already beat 2 guys. With # of fights in Silva's contract being limited I rather have Vitor (who actually has a good chance to win) fight him than watch Nate get tooled again.

With that being said though Nate should cut the whining. He already got beaten by Silva, Hendo deserves the shot more than him plus Vitor has better win streak than Nate going even though most of the fights were outside ufc. Nate is still 4-1 after his last loss against Silva with Maia being his only high caliber opponent. Nate can only blame himself for delaying his rematch with that dumbass performance of his against Leites, and because of that plus the fact that Silva has limited fights left (as mentioned above) I don't mind Vitor getting his shot before Nate.

There is absolutely nothing to warrant Maia getting a rematch with Nate. The guy didnt make it out of the first 2 minutes of the fight let alone mount any sort of an offense. There is just no reason to have Nate put an even bigger whooping on Maia at this point.

yea but to be fair the guy made a mistake and payed for it, maybe more than most people making that mistake. Everyone feels the same, we would like to see the actual skills, I mean even if it were a fury that knocked him out, not just a one punch knock out, that was perfectly executed by nate.

Also, why is Nate and Vitor fighting out of the question IF Hendo isn't in the UFC anymore

I really like his honesty here and I am not sure who but somebody said Vitor was scared I don't think he is scared as much as he would rather be comfortable and have another fight or to before being thrown to the beast that is Anderson Silva. IMO Silva is a huge step up from Rich Franklin,Matt Lindland and Terry Martin

Perhaps. Or he could just genuinely believe that one win doesn't merit him a title shot, and that there are those in the UFC who may, at this time, be more deserving. There's something to be said about proving your worth before tossing your name into the championship running. I see a humble and patient man more than I see a 'scared' man.

Someone mentioned Hendo deserving the shot more then nate, how the hell do you justify that? Nate has won three straight at middleweight, Dan won two fights at middleweight and one at lightheavyweight in his last three. Nate's recent record is more relovent in this division. Personally, id much rather see Belfort/Silva then Hendo or nate vs Silva, we have already seen those fights, they will end the same way. Nate is still nowhere near being on Silva's level as a striker, Dan still only has one punch and he is getting old.

I have a real hard time believing he would be scared....I mean he signed with the UFC and had plans to fight at MW so I'm pretty sure he knows where that road leads. Sounds to me almost as silly as his lack of 'mental toughness' a lot of people threw around before his fight with Rich.
