Sinosic to Bisping: "Come Ready for a War."

Taken from ufcmania.com:

Former The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 3 Light Heavyweight Champion Michael Bisping (12-0) will fight Elvis Sinosic (8-9-2) at UFC 70 in Manchester, England, in front of a hometown crowd on April 21.

It will be the second post-TUF fight for the popular British fighter, who beat Eric Schafer (7-2-2) at UFC 66 on December 30 via technical knockout in round one.

And, it’s a match that Sinosic believes Bisping should not take lightly, according to a recent interview with MMASportsMag.com.

Here’s a snip from “The King of Rock and Rumble":

My prediction is that I will win. Whether it is by submission or KO is inconsequential, because I can do either. Don’t [take me lightly]. Come fully prepared. Come ready for war. I want the best Bisping possible in front of me. I want a fight to remember!

Despite his lackluster mixed martial arts record, Sinosic does pose a threat.

However, when all is said and done, I think that this fight will be remembered for reasons other than a Sinosic upset.
Sinosic is a really good fighter despite his record. I'm hoping Bisping comes in ready cause I really like him. This is the definition of a catch fight. Bisping's already been talking about Rampage and Rashad, he needs to focus on this fight.

You're right. He isn't that bad of a fighter. He has a nice win over Jeremy Horn and a lot of his loses were to top people in the UFC. The only thing is he's a spotty performer. A lot of his matches as soon as he thinks that he's losing it alwasy looks like he gives up (or maybe he has been out of shape :dunno: )

I call him the "UFC training dummy" when ever they need a rubber match to make a fighter look good and boost his confidence they almost always bring Elvis Sinosic out of the basement. In this case they want to put on a good show for the English fans and they want a talented fighter who they know can put on a good show with "The Count"

I'm smelling an upset here. A lot of people are blowing smoke up the ass of Bisping but his win at UFC 66 was not really impressive. Sinosic is a pretty decent fighter who can bang and fight on the ground. He also has a world of experience and if he comes into this fight fully motivated he can take it.

how the **** was it not impressive? he fought a relentless guy who kept taken him down and got up every single time. got out of a full mount, kicked him in the face and punch the crap out of him and beat him in the first round. what more do u want douche? does it have to be a crocop kick just to impress ur ass?

LMAO if someone like Tito was fighting Eric Schaeffer you would say he just beat a can. Which is exactly what Bisping did. He shouldnt have even been in the mount in the first place. Until he got the KO he was having alot of problems with Schaeffer. If he was as good as everyone makes him out to be hed have waslked right through him.

You're getting offended and calling the guy a douche..because you don't agree with what he says?
Wow, you really put up a great argument, with some great points.

I think you just inherited some of Pogo's so called doucheness. Douche.

Ricefarmer ................. just go home already eh. If Bisping was so good then he would not have been taken down all those times, and he would not have been caught in a full mount. So shut up.

This is why Elvis Sinosic is one of my favorite fighters. It's not because he's the best, but it's because he always comes ready for a war. He doesn't have the best technique and he's not the most methodical fighter, but when you step in the cage with him you know that he's going to do everything that he can to tear your f*cking head off.

I think that Bisping is a much better fighter on a technical level than Sinosic is, but technical ability isn't always anything and if Bisping doesn't come ready for a huge fight then Sinosic is exactly the kind of fighter that can stop his cocky ass.

Bisping is undefeated, and Sinosic has a losing record. As far as a parper matchup, I give it to Bisping hands down, but it's not a paper matchup, these guys are going to go to war. If Bisping doesn't come prepared Sinosic will put on a show for sure.

Sinosic's performances are like his hair: flashy, but usually losers.

anyone ever think 6 months since fighting had something to do with his performance at ufc 66? give the guy a break, i just hope he does well
Agreed. Bisping was a little rusty and it was his first UFC fight so was probably quite nervous. I know he was in the finale of TUF but that didn't have an audience of UFC66. When his fight started against Schafer I was nervous for him cause I want him to be the real deal and for me he performed well. I don't know what Pogo is going on about 'not impressive'. What is it that you expect from people?

It is not necessary to call someone 'douche' simply because he says something that you don't agree with.

Sherdog is like that. This forum is not.

Thats the problem with forums ppl bring their anger mgmt issues and lay it out on ppl for no fkn reason....we all have opinions and we wont always agree, thats life, lets just get along. Its easy to be a keyboard hero...

On topic, you would expect Bisping to win no doubt..but IMO id give a 40%-45% chance to Elvis. I know Elvis he is my home town boy and ive watched his UFC and non UFC fights. He has fought some tough opponents in UFC matches and his Machado BJJ is nothing short of excellent. His standup is pretty good and he is long and flexible.

Agreed his record is not great but as stated above he hasnt fought any cans. His last win was in the UK anyhow and his confidence is up.

Im biased but ill bet on Elvis to win 2nd rnd Sub....I may regret it but i gotta stick with my man.

There is no chance in hell that Bisping will go into this fight unprepared. Its the first UFC in the uk in years and he's the #1 fighter from over here at the moment so he will not want to dissapoint his 'home' fans.

Bisping by tko in the first

Don't forget the added pressure he's under though. He has a lot of hype to live up to and infront of his home fans. (in the back of his mind) He is going to be thinking a lot about how not to lose more than focusing on pulling out all the stops. I expect a win from him but I'm going to also expect some first round jitters.

I feel a little sorry for the kid. He's a nice guy and modest when he was on TUF. He's being shoved into the spot light and is expected to perform while everyone in the UFC and media are nuthugging him. Money can buy you a lot of things but it can't buy you your mental game.

..........Says the fighter with Anderson Silva as his #3 favourite fighter. Remember that fight with Lutter? Go on....make your excuses.

Yeah yeah I've already heard all this talk about Sinosic being a "dangerous" opponent who has "worlds of experience" when he faught Forrest a while back. Then Forrest, a mediocre fighter not any better than Bisping, destroyed him. Sinosic sucks, he is as bad as his record shows. Bisping may not destroy him, but he will most certainly beat him.

How about the *excuse* that Silva put Lutter into a triangle choke then made him tap going off Lutter's full mount? Does that work? :dunno:

As I said before, Elvis is a good fighter who happens to lose a lot. The guy has decent standup(He was winning the standup against Forrest until he got caught), and a great ground game. I'm predicting Bisping to win this, but Elvis has a good shot here, and he's a tough opponent. Elvis will bring a fight.
