World Cup- Quarterfinals(6/3): Argentina vs. Germany

This one is anyones ballgame. Player-to-player Argentina is the slightly better team, but I feel that Germany is the more balanced side and have a much better organized defence. Gonna have to put some down on Germany on this one, just because of the odds.

Argentina did not impress me ones in this World Cup yet. Just barely made it to South Africa anyway..

This Team is very beatable

Everybody in our team fights for the Teammate. Argentina is a lazy soccer team who relies way to much on Messi.

3:1 Germany!

I've been reading through the anti-Argentina posts and the pro-Germany ones- and anyone who thinks Argentina is an easy out for Germany is just fooling themselves.

Gloss on for the Germany hyperbole and I'll just sit back and enjoy watching Argentina and their "lazy" team win.

Germany is far from perfect and both of these teams got gifts from the refs to change the flow and outcome of their last game and to think one has clear and dominate edge over the other is just putting on their "homer" glasses to ignore reality.

This match is a very tough one to call. I'm gonna have to put my thinking cap for this one and get back to this later.

I agree with Walker than Argentina is no slouch and could prove to be trouble.

I wanna gree with Bobby though in the hope of seeing Germany vs. Netherlands in the finals. Just think that would be a cool match.

WHAT A GAME!SO EXCITING! Gonna have to go with the Argies though. Messi, Tevez, Maxi Rodríguez and Higuaín have been on fantastic form so far, to name a few. Not to mention any team that has Sergio Aguero on the bench is just unreal.

I hope Lionel is wearing body armor today with the amount of hacking and fouling the Germans plan to do to him. Hopefully it won't be worse than the 1990 final when they fouled Maradona relentlessly to prevent any type of free play and ground the game to a stand still to win ugly. The Germans have been talking pre-game a ton about Argentina play and how "dirty" it is- with their past history they should know all about that. :thumb02:

WOOOOOO!!!
Just came home from the game - I was watching it at the theater, testing out how it is to watch football in 3D.
The 3D wasn't so awesome, but overall, it was great. Especially, I liked the camera angles in the theater, much better than on the TV, and in a lot of times they even zoomed, say, one player with the ball and followed him. Looked great.

Anyways, the game itself I though was great too. Germany looked fantastic, the best Germany I have ever seen, Bobby's probably more drunk then ever atm. :D:D
I feel a bit sorry for Argentina (to be precise - Tevez, Messi and Higuain :D), because I like them too, but wow.. and 4:0!!

And, I've won shitload of credits in the quarterfinals - I won all 3 of my bets, and definately going to take my 4th IMO! :thumb02::thumb02:

I am in Love guys!!!!! You know, when you have this tingling in your stomach^^ I never felt that before ;D

What a great showing! Argentina was completely chanceless in the entire game. I did expected a victory.. but not like this haha :)

Bastian Schweinsteiger just became the greatest defensive midfielder in the Sport today! :praise01: Everybody get's a A with *Stars*!!!

Müller will be missed in the semi finals.. Spain (we gonna take revange finally) and then probably Holland.. oh dear..

But we gonna make it :thumb02: Sorry Ape^^

Some real german passion. I like it. A couple friends of mine were in Berlin when Germany played Ghana, and they told me it was absolutely electric in the streets. Can't imagine how it was today. I would love to be there, thats for sure!

One thing I can say about Germany, if they go on to win it, they are DESERVING winners. Australia, Serbia, Ghana, England, Argentina, Spain, Netherlands(?). Thats a sick run of games.

Can't wait for the semis. It's weird how the World Cup is nearly over already. 4 long years until next time. Here's for hoping the drama isn't over just yet!
